What do you mean? The year More Life came out it was the best playlist released by a rapperImagine dropping Views and More Life back to back and expecting an AOTY
insanity
You listen to that Lojii - lofeye? Seems like something you'll dig. A bit more downtempo
i didn't know Hit-boy released a new tape. Haven't heard from him in a minutes
This is dope, good looksYou ever listen to this?

I actually found it searching BIll $aber on Soundcloud.
It's pretty hard, you should check out the OmenXIII album on my list just seems like it'd be something you'd like.I see you Des, Nick is that dude.
Everyone really should check out Generation Numb though, one of the hardest tapes of the last 50 years. Production is off the charts
Yeah it might be slightly stronger overall actuallybeen meaning to get around to this, how does it compare to If There's a Hell Below? (which I enjoyed)
I agree, Drake actually out rapped Pusha imo head to head on diss tracks, his flow is tight and his lines are more clever though obviously less savage which is what everyone seems to be clamoring for these days.Look Alive is going to end up being the best Drake song this year, dunno how he'll top that.
I really like Duppy Freestyle though.

There's something so boring about her music to me. She has a great voice for sure, but.. I dunno.
This is true.
Have you ever listened to Neo-Soul before?Yeeah, same here. I don't know what it's called, but it's that kind of singing style and inflection that so many of these new singers have that's so annoying to me. Maybe someone here knows what I mean.
I'm a huge D'Angelo/Badu/Soulquarians stan, so yeah, lol. What I heard from Jorja is absolutely not on that level, but maybe I heard the wrong examples. You can link me some good ones if you like. Maybe I also just don't like her pressed voice.
Her voice seems very influenced by it but taken to the extreme. Reminds me closer to someone like N'Dambi But even she didn't use those kinda inflections in voice that often outside of a song like thisI'm a huge D'Angelo/Badu/Soulquarians stan, so yeah, lol. Agreed on all accounts.
I like my disses with a certain level of subtlety and wordplay, not really with the "YOU ARE HIDING A CHILD" level of explicitness and even saying Drake's name explicitly either TBH. Clever metaphors are better than that.
It has super dark production, but I don't feel like Lojii carried it well at all, I may just not like Lojii though.Sounds super familiar but not sure, somehow it's already on my computer so I can listen today
Man I've been saying this from the beginning.Agreed on all accounts.

The SOPHIE track you posted a few weeks ago has been stuck in my head, btw.
Wasn't SOPHIE the one who brought out an "imposter" to perform her Boiler Room mix with HudMo yeeears ago or am I mixing up something?
I think the Drake and Pusha tracks are polar opposites of one another.
Duppy Freestyle is a great track with great rapping (on every level) on display, and the disses are almost completely hollow or don't make sense at all (that Virgil shot especially is dafuq worthy), no matter who they're directed at. Also that Boi-1da beat whew.
The Story of Adinon is grating to listen to, flow is so much worse, but he went straight for the jugular and cut deep, backed it up, and had PUSHA'S team call for a ceasefire and mercy for Drake, which then J Prince used as an opportunity to take credit for ending the beef, making an "OG move," and also getting a press tour for his book out of it.
Suffice to say, only one of those is in my library, even if he lost badly and we all know it. I thought this would be like Back to Back again where the better track won (where, again, Drake had pretty much nothing to say and like this time failed to really rebut the allegations adequately as is a pattern in his career), but it just turns out that the #surgical approach like PhoenixDark described is what won the day. We're just comparing tracks like HiResDes said, not outcome or impact, which is clear at this point.
Fuck the festival format im all about the small inside venue nowadays. Gonna be in Chicago mid July to see Suicideyear and Hayley HenderickxAnyone near Chicago? Pitchfork Music Fest tickets on Gilt City for like 20% off. That's sorta crazy and shows how much the festival scene seems to be on the downswing. That thing used to sell out 3 days so quickly. Hell even Outsidelands still got 3 days and 1 day passes for every single day.
We haven't gotten any music outta that yet.

"You're not even top five on your own label" sounds nice to the layman but...does anyone believe that?
Damn we're vibing today HRD, something special must've happened in the universe today.

Lauryn Hill isn't worth seeing regardless. She's one of the worst performers I've seen by far unless she's recently cleaned up her actIf I had a choice yea, obviously small is the best way to see any artist. Festival is more about seeing like 20 people you been wanting to see plus being outside surrounded by ass and a fun excuse to get super faded. The lineup is heat. It's not like you'd ever be able to see Lauryn Hill in a bar anymore.

Just looked it up. It is pretty good line up especially with 20% off. They have Raphael Saadiq performing too damnIt was an example. You aren't seeing Tame Impala in a small show either. Look at the lineup it's fire. If you live in Chicago anywhere near a train station it's the cheapest 3 days of entertainment in the middle of summer you can get.
