It will come with time man, just keep working at it, it's just great to see that you're getting in there.
IMO, don't worry about the 1RM. 1RMs are overrated unless you're training for competition, and even then, there is far too much that can go wrong to make it worth it. Most people do 1RMs to train their egos, not their bodies. You don't gain anything meaningful for your physique or health outside of a boosted ego/confidence. Over my years of training I have seen so many people blow out shoulders and pecs doing 1RMs on bench (putting them out for weeks/months). You're not gonna make any progress sitting at home rehabbing injuries. I did strongman training for a while and have my fair share of injuries that I have to work around daily as a result. Bad knee, shoulder, back problems, you name it. If I could go back in time, I'd never bother with a 1RM again. The body is under a tremendous amount of stress during 1RMs and weak points WILL go, it's just a matter of time. No powerlifter or strongman competitor has escaped extreme strength training without significant injury at least once. It's an inherent part of the sport. Doing 5x5s are a far better way to train for strength and hypertrophy while avoiding injury. I used to alternate 5x5s with 4x10s every few weeks and saw great results. Think long term man, and take care of your body. Chronic and nagging injuries are hell.
