I don't know, but didn't the Watchmen started with cops that felt they couldn't do anything?
Wow this looks terrible. No faith in this what's so ever and I hate it.

Tell that to all the folks that somehow think The Leftovers is some sort of crowning achievement of television. It's Damon Lindelof. There is pretty much zero reason to be optimistic.
To those not following this, the show takes place after the events of the comic/film.

Set photos suggest it relates to the comic somewhat with references to the space squid.
Dear people who like The Leftovers; Damon Lindelof still sucks.
I love Lost and the Leftovers so I'm not sure how him running things is badIt's Damon Lindelof. There is pretty much zero reason to be optimistic.
Hmm, be careful with that : it's not an actual sequel, nor an adaptation -- it's a new story. Whether it takes place before or after the events of the comics should not matter much as it'll pick and choose what it wants from it.
The Leftovers also had a massive leg up on most of Lindelof's output by having the original novel as a season 1 roadmap and having author Tom Perrotta on board to help the whole way. People really overlook the source material regarding that show.
apart from the fantastic tv shows he has been involved in?It's Damon Lindelof. There is pretty much zero reason to be optimistic.
I'm so sorry about your terrible taste.
Really disappointed that Lindelof is doing this after the stunning work on The Leftovers. I couldn't care less about Watchmen
i think he's probably getting it from that, and also every other giant waving red flag indicating this is gonna be a trash fire since this was announced
Because you laid out why people don't care, the book is entirely covered in season 1, the worst season.

You guys are confusing the hell out of me but if its not an adaption/retelling of the original story, my interest has actually gone way up.It seems pretty clear to beBut really, I just said that cause some people might have been confused and wondered who the character was supposed to be. I know the people running the show have made it clear that it's not a direct connection to either version.after the events of the original story with shots of Squid Attack shelters posted online.
