Out of curiosity, do people complain about Tetris 99 being exclusive to Switch? Or is that game so heavily tied to that system now that it just is what it is?Definitely. Defending a practice that will inevitably make you miss out on something. At least for a little while.
Showtime are already doing one

I'm going with they are licensing the entirety of Segas back catalogue from the master system to the Dreamcast for "enhanced" BC, announced at TGS. It's how they are "celebrating Japanese games and creators"
I'd lose it for just a straight port of OG resolution Panzer Dragoon Saga, if I'm honest (hopefully with a physical release).I was just about to say that lol. People here would lose it for enhanced BC Dreamcast and Saturn games.
SEGA And Microsoft have a partnership that goes all the way back to the Dreamcast.
God bless Peter Moore for that.SEGA And Microsoft have a partnership that goes all the way back to the Dreamcast.
Plus, Microsoft was the first console Manufacturer SEGA went to outside of Nintendo and garnered a deal on exclusives back then.
That and Microsoft generally feels like the successor to the space SEGA took up in the console race too to boot.
Showtime. But that's already happening on HBO. Like it's in production as I type this
Really? Okay, now I wonder what one of the masterminds behind the Dreamcast in North America and SEGA's association with Microsoft ever since will do now.God bless Peter Moore for that.
Speaking of which, I just read on Wikipedia that Peter More stepped down from his CEO position at Liverpool Football Club last month. Wonder what he'll be doing next...
Tetris 99 is a first party game: Nintendo published and developed with their engine.Out of curiosity, do people complain about Tetris 99 being exclusive to Switch? Or is that game so heavily tied to that system now that it just is what it is?
I wondered the same thing and called him up. I gave him this advice, "Petey, you gotta do you." And he said "I do More."God bless Peter Moore for that.

But why would first party put them there instead of going for 70$?If after today's $70 per PS game news, this could be huge if it's big third party games going to Gamepass day one.
Well MS was the only one that were never in direct competition with...Plus, Microsoft was the first console Manufacturer SEGA went to outside of Nintendo and garnered a deal on exclusives back then.
Makes sense. That and MS was console Partner on the Dreamcast. Hence the Powered with Windows CE Logo on the front of the console.Well MS was the only one that were never in direct competition with...
This is brilliant! Would sell systems in Japan.I'm going with they are licensing the entirety of Segas back catalogue from the master system to the Dreamcast for "enhanced" BC, announced at TGS. It's how they are "celebrating Japanese games and creators"
They probably didn't have the specifics on what was being purchased, but that it was a big deal nonetheless.
They're spending money left right and centre at the moment - like the EA deal announced only couple of weeks ago. So I'm sure it doesn't end here.
they don't understand that SEGA is more than a gaming company, and is probably the least convenient for them to acquire
