Can you get dupes with the treasure hunts? Or is it just a matter of hunting them all down?I hit 6K Dusty Tokens last night. Now all I need to do are Treasure Hunts. Mainly for the last pieces of furniture I need and that one damn emote I can't seem to find

Finished the game.
For real this time. I thought chapter 21 would be a quick chapter and that I was at/near the end of the game, but there was like a quarter of the game remaining haha. That was an interesting finale, and I liked getting some closure on Kat and her story. I felt the final boss dragged on for a bit too long, but the final segment where you control the camera was pretty emotional.
I feel kind of sad that it's over, but I still have a lot of optional content that I can do, so there's that. Great game. I hope we'll get a sequel in the future, even if it's next gen. </3
I'm missing one more gesture. I'm guessing I'll get it from treasure chests? It's one of the ones on the third page of gestures. I'll still be logging in daily to do treasure hunts for the furniture, so hopefully I get it soon.
A few helpful hints for farming: each treasure hunt you do is 80 tokens, but each treasure you help someone else find based on your photo is 220 points. So it's really in your best interest to take as good a photo as possible when sending out treasure hunts! Remember that you can fly out a short distance from the treasure to take a more zoomed-out photo.
Been very unlucky so far on this, I've sent out 23 photos, 0 people have used/gotten my photos and found any treasures so far.
That is just if you want to unlock stuff like costumes and other miscellaneous items. You will be fine if you just want the campaign. Can't wait to start playing this game tonight
What's with all this photo sharing talk? Is that necessary to play the campaign? I really have no interest in multi player interactions

I think I'll give up farming the Dusty Tokens, I find it painfully boring :/
You don't have to farm. Just get them as you play. You should be able to get 6000 in like a week at most.

This. I was going out of my way to get them at first, but it wasn't necessary. I ended up finishing with WAY more dusty tokens than I needed, and I still need to do more treasure hunts for the furniture.
Eight treasure hunts a day gets you 640 tokens, and that's with doing absolutely no actual farming (unless you consider the act of just doing a treasure hunt to be farming!). Once you start sending out and doing challenges, you'll also start getting tokens from other people finishing your challenges or finding treasures from your photos.
I too was worried about the token stuff, but it only took me two or three days and maybe three hours of gameplay (much of which was also spent looking for gems to get the last two trophies). It's not too bad.
Glad you liked it. That final act is so goodFinished the game.

Yeah Kat's a baby. It kind of surprised me since some characters call her a grown woman.
This is why Kat must be protected at all costs. She is precious.
I've read somewhere (at the GR Wiki I think?) that Raven is supposed to be around 18 years old. Kind of weirded me out, because I had her pegged at being around her mid-twenties.
But I guess her (and Kat's) age is not all that surprising if seen as just another case of that "everyone above 20 is ancient" concept more Japanese games have going on.
Fun fact: when she transports Newt around in the first game, there are small collections of gems to collect on the way. The last one she flies through with Newt was actually heart shaped:
Nothing comes of it of course, especially not in GR2. Then again, who needs a boyfriend when you have Raven?
Should have been a mission where Kat lets Nevi kill him.
I remember that. Made my heart melt. Echo ain't got shit on Kat. What is you doin' Newt? Then again, Newt ain't shit either. Nerd.
Eh, I thought Echo was fine. She's no Kat obviously, but she was cute in all her plainness.I remember that. Made my heart melt. Echo ain't got shit on Kat. What is you doin' Newt? Then again, Newt ain't shit either. Nerd.
I remember now. Characters who make Kat sad deserve to be locked up and never deserve freedom.Eh, I thought Echo was fine. She's no Kat obviously, but she was cute in all her plainness.
Look at that heartbreaker.
Lol, I think I did the same thing.I wish you could lift those people up and throw them into the depths, but alas, mission givers and NPCs with dialogue are rooted to the floor. Otherwise that old dude with the photos would've been on his way to Lei Elgona faster than he could say 'hot diggity'.
Actually, one of the best moments in Remastered was when you confront that stalker guy at the end of the Spy Pack. You pick him up to deliver him to the police and he immediately starts rambling about his love for Kat. The game was daring you to let him fall.
Dude didn't even last a second in my playthrough. Enjoy the ride down, sucker.
Who was a dick? That student or Chaz? Because I liked Chaz. The consummate professional type. I don't think he was even aware Kat was trying to flirt with him.Turns out I was remembering Chaz incorrectly the whole time. I could've sworn he was this one douche student from the first game. I think he's in a couple of side missions. The guy was a total dick to Kat.
