fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu............. UCK!It's even crazier for us Elder Scrolls fans. Skyrim came out in 2011. We don't even know if TES 6 will be out by 2024.
:(
Holy shit... same. I was 18 when GTA V came out. That hit hard. =(I was 19 when GTA V came out. I'm going to be in my 30s by the time GTA VI is out. Idk why that fills me with a sense of dread. GTA V still feels like a new game to me.
Are you me? Shit, that's wild to think about.I was 19 when GTA V came out. I'm going to be in my 30s by the time GTA VI is out. Idk why that fills me with a sense of dread. GTA V still feels like a new game to me.
Games have never taken longer to develop than they do now, sadly.
With smart delivery or whatever, it would be shitty for them to charge for a port.Well we all know they're going to milk 5 straight onto next gen with the numbers it's pulling.
And yes, I will be buying it again.
Looks like the piece in your screenshot was a mistake, in the same document on page 76 it has the near $50mil marketing budget assigned to the 2019 financial yearNoticed something weird. In FY19, the fiscal year that RDR2 released, TTWO only spent $4m on marketing. But in the previous year, FY18, TTWO spent $49m on marketing.
If this is the case (and assuming I've not gotten the numbers ass-backwards), could GTAVI release in FY2025 instead? Looks like they ramp up marketing spend a year-ish earlier than the game's actual fiscal release period. The RDR2 delays could account for the disparity though.
Source is a 10-K filing from March 31, 2018.
I'm considering GTA Online to be the 12th entry before GTA 6 at this point.
If these long dev times mean less crunch and ultimately a better game, I'm all for it.

And I'm thankful it hasn't been announced with a "when it's ready" timeline only to sit for 5+ years.
Duke Nukem Forever
So over GTA. Would rather have GTA4 remastersConsidering the obsession that R* has it would not surprise me, but in the meanwhile can we get versions of GTAV specially for the PS5 and XSX
GTA 6 is supposedly Rockstar's next major game, and RDR2 released in 2018.
I believe Rockstar has said they're changing their development practices following the fallout from RDR2.
Look on the bright side. It will be truly next gen. It won't be held back trying to facilitate ps4/xb1.
