Agreed, Ben was the only one even remotely condemning what Blizz did...
Is anyone else bothered by Jeff's frequent usage of "tremendous"? Trump has completely ruined that word for me.
Both coasts have been kind of mediocre lately. East doesn't put out good video content anymore and neither does West. The only thing I really like on the West coast is Business Dave's top ten. At this point I'm more into the GB-adjacent stuff like Waypoint, No Clip and Shift-F1. The occasional Power Bombcast is also nice.
Wasn't Venom, Big Boss's lieutenant and the best soldier in MSF outside of Big Boss himself? I'd also say that Venom was nowhere near as good a soldier as any of the LEF kids or BB himself if you're going by in game stuff.

The point is that I don't associate joking about it with Trump; people have been channeling his ridiculousness toward humorous ends for some time now: lock her up, MAGA, fake news, sad (with an exclamation point), whatever else...it has never struck me as terrible form to use those terms in a joke-y manner.

That joke was bad. Making jokes after someone says someone died is in poor taste. Ben has the annoying habit of trying to insert jokes every where but there's a limit.
Regarding the Blizzard stuff I think condemning them is right but expecting political commentary regarding the Chinese situation from a video game podcast doesn't make a lot of sense.

Watching the latest Grapes & Wrath and I am of the opinion that Giant Bomb should prerecord playthroughs in a bigger batch upfront or in quicker succession. Them always going "Wait, what's the controls? What happened last time? Where are we here? Where we going?" is getting kinda annoying.
Have yet to listen to the Bombcast but checked the timestamp posted earlier. Maybe don't do a joke when a person died that you didn't know or seemingly wasn't a terrible person.
The Blizzard stuff sounds expectable. I wonder how the reaction will be for Blizzcon. Will people bring posters in support for the Hong Kong protesters or will everything be forgotten once people see Diablo 4 and Overwatch's Man vs. Machines?

I have to be honest not many of the recent shows have been hitting for me, the last one I genuinely enjoyed was 13 Deadly Sims. I honestly would really enjoy them just playing the games they enjoy regardless of when they came out, for example Brad playing more Doom has been good as he actually wants to be doing it. Unprofessional Fridays has always been my favourite show but the last few months other than Business Dave killing it has been pretty tough to stay awake for.

The joke was in poor taste, "smashed his head with a giant hammer" is pretty far over the line I feel like.
Yeah my eyebrows raised when he was basically saying "I read the Polygon review and xyz" when he literally could defer to his own staff member on the podcast that is actually playing the game. The industry hivemind where people outsource their opinions to other outlets get tiresome.
I though Venom was just a medic, and even if he wasn't as good as either kid a whole army of almost Big Bosses would be far better then both.

One look at his Twitter feed would show that this isn't the case. He just makes bad jokes sometimes.

I'm saying you make that reference for one of two reasons: he's dog-whistling or he's trying to be edgy. Saying "he just makes bad jokes sometimes" doesn't release him from acknowledging that it was a bad joke with really, really unfortunate connotations because he was trying to be edgy and own trying to do better next time.

Most of your drops (if not all) should be above 750. The actual "powerful" engram drops won't start until you hit the 900 soft cap. I'm pretty sure that doesn't change if you don't own Shadowkeep (though I don't know for sure). Just check the blue drops you are receiving and if they are higher, keep them. You should level up pretty quickly.
that doesn't make sense. when i started a new character and just played stuff, all the drops were progressively higher level. i'm at like 840 or something right now.
I've noticed this with other streamers and it's a bit of a pet peeve for me. You basically have to stick to doing one session a week at minimum.

Ben made a shitty "lock her up" joke. He frequently makes shitty, edgy jokes, and it's as tiresome as you're probably finding me right now since I'm not properly revering Giant Bomb. For once, for this particularly shitty joke, I would have liked to see him own that he made a shitty, edgy joke about a sensitive thing (to put it mildly) and try to do better next time. But, as usual, we get silence from Ben about it because why would he acknowledge it when no one else seems terribly bothered by it?

I don't think he is; after all, he signals by retweeting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, right.
