A lot of Nintendo's priorities seem super odd.
I can kinda get why they held off on Animal Crossing (probably because they didn't want AC Mobile to cannibalize sales and they thought that that would be way more popular than it ended up being) but in a vacuum it looks weird to save Animal Crossing for later but fast track a Xenoblade sequel to come out in the 1st year.
i can get why there's no New Leaf port, besides, obviously, there being no 3DS option (also very dumb) but how is there no option to download the original Gamecube/N64 AC or at least one of the Wii games? arg
sidenote, i think Jeff mentioned that the original 3DS can't handle Nintendos SNES emulator, but new 3DS can. i don't know how shit bout how them thar computers work but the mind fuckin boggles when a system capable of running N64 and PS2 ports can't run SNES games
