If you're interested, there's a free demo available on PC

Should also be noted that 3DRealms is involved with this. More info on why should you be aware of it here:
Worth calling out that this is produced by 3D Realms and developed at least in part by Slipgate Ironworks. See why that is relevant here - https://www.resetera.com/threads/bigoted-devs-part-of-3d-realms’-realms-deep-show.281351/

GameRevolution - 4.5/5
And even though that world is a broken dystopian nightmare, Ghostrunner's gameplay is just the opposite. Slicing and sprinting through each dilapidated factory and string of sharply lit billboards is a rush because of how satisfying it is to control as well as how it, through its design, pushes players to play well enough to get the most out of its systems. A seasoned ninja strikes perfectly without any fatal faults; an apt summary of the gameplay loop and Ghostrunner as a whole.

Destructoid - 8.5/10
As I played through the roughly eight-hour campaign this week I couldn't shake the feeling that I was playing the unholy union of Hotline Miami and Mirror's Edge that I didn't know I was missing in my life. Through all of the frustration and cursing at myself for screwing up something that I knew I should have gotten right, I was still having a blast and loving every minute of the game. Though the story is complete for me, I'll most assuredly be returning to this to see how well I can hone my cyberpunk ninja skills.

Shacknews - 9/10
Ghostrunner will set your adrenaline racing and won't let up until you've mastered its systems. And when you do reach that zen-like moment of precision and elegance, dancing on the edge of a blade between life and death, you'll ask yourself, "Can I do better?" And that's when Ghostrunner will have you, truly and deeply.

IGN Italy - 7.5/10
A title that tests one's ability to focus on a goal without giving up. At any cost. Even if it were necessary to leave the computer paused for hours, to not lose the progress made in that level. Nothing new, neither as gameplay nor as atmosphere, but overall it is pleasant... if you got the patience of the dolphin Jones.

Wccftech - 8/10
Ghostrunner is a very well-crafted first-person action game featuring a lightning-fast pace, a very smooth parkour system, and tight platforming in addition to weighty, satisfying combat. The high challenge level and the one-hit-kill system, however, can lead to some serious frustration, as it requires a level of effort that not all players may be willing to put in the game. As such, Ghostrunner is a game that only the most hardcore of action games players will fully appreciate.

Press Start - 8.5/10
Ghostrunner might be standing on the shoulders of games like Mirror's Edge, and even Dishonored, in terms of inspiration with its parkour and slick swordplay. But it also separates heads from those shoulders and stands proud as the far better application of both disciplines-Ghostrunner is a sleek, fun exercise for deft hands.

GameSpew - 9/10
But as long as you know what you're getting yourself into with Ghostrunner, it might just prove to be your favourite game of the year. It's certainly the most action-packed and exciting. It absorbs you in a world that's dripping with atmosphere thanks to its stellar visuals, and its pumping soundtrack makes you uncontrollably tap your feet. The gameplay, though, is what will ultimately make you love it. It might take a few attempts, but when you finally clear a room of enemies in one continuous motion as if it was choreographed for a blockbuster movie, you can't help but feel a great sense of accomplishment and awe. And Ghostrunner has so many of these moments that you can't help but love it.

WellPlayed - 9/10
It can be a frustrating bloody thing at times, but when it picks up steam Ghostrunner is a balls-to-the-wall thrill ride that delivers on its cyberpunk stylings and repays patience with a dystopia-grade injection of dopamine

GameSpot - 7/10
Ghostrunner is a hard-charging parkour climb, but summiting its platforming challenges is a thrill worth fighting for.

IGN - 8/10
Ghostrunner's lightning-fast gameplay makes for a short-lived but memorable action game with some incredible moments.

God Is A Geek - 9/10
Ghostrunner is built for that subset of gamers who enjoy the steepest challenge. The story is solid, the world is beautiful, and the precision insane - but this is a hardcore experience from start to finish

Yeah this looks like the perfect 8/10 classic. Will pick it up some time down the road.

Really looking forward to this one. The demo amounts to about 7 minutes of gameplay once you've got it down and I've played it for hours. You can wall run and mantle just about any bit of level geometry, so you can get creative and create your own paths at times.

Loved the demo. Glad to see it got good reviews. Hopefully I can get the performance to be better.

My one gripe is it somehow looked worse with ray tracing. Way too busy

Wow, reviews are amazing. So glad!

This looks like a full game made out of the Titanfall 2 tutorial.

Or Clustertruck but with ninjas!

I guess the final game is more interesting, I've played the demo a couple of time and was incredibly disappointing and dull to play. I'll give a look to some advanced play through.

Getting some Dishonored vibes there with the sword play, time freezing, and blinking.

Looks super exciting and I went to pick it up as soon as I saw the reviews for that sweet discount that expires today. For some reason it seems to have been taken down from the PSN and Switch stores with no trace though, so I guess I'll be waiting on the next time it goes on sale then...

Played the demo, enjoyed the game and preordered it yesterday. I hope the PS4 version is good.

btw: The next-gen upgrade is free.

It`s still online, at least in German PSN.

is this the game that looked like sh*t on the Switch, or am I confusing it with another "cyberpunk" product?
I would be VERY interested in this one

You're probably thinking of Cyberpunk Cloud (or something like that). The only video we have of this one, that I know of, is the announcement video and it looked alright. Though, we have no idea how representative that is of the final version.

EDIT: Cloudpunk, as stated above. I knew it was something like that.

I want to play this on pc but at 1440p rtx just isnt playable on my 2080 super. EVEN with dlss. They have some optimizing to do. Other than that though gameplay is really fun.

Game looks amazing but one of the reviews I read mentioned the phrase that killed any enthusiasm for me: "Trial and error".

May still pick it up a few years from now since the setting looks good.

I like how I forgot this existed until last week and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was releasing very soon, just as pleasantly surprising as the good scores.

Pretty nice scores. Definitely giving this a shot later today if the New Zealand trick works on Xbox. The movement is calling out to me 🥴

Currently hitting the backlog hard before the next-gen consoles arrive, but it's nice to see it getting good reviews. I'll dig in at some point.

I need to play this. I love high-mobility gameplay in first-person, it's one of the types of gameplay formats that instantly appeals to me. When the Steam demo released this summer, I kinda figured this was just gonna be a breezy 2-3 hour experience but the fact that it's a full 6-8 hour campaign has absolutely won me over. Looking forward to playing the full game!

Actually this will end up being relevant to me. It's a shame, but wouldn't be my first time disengaging based on this. Oh well, plenty other things for me to play right now... thanks for the heads up, though. I would've legit waded to the store page on a platform and probably figured this out but I'm glad to have figured it out sooner.

I had thought this game was Devolver.

The discount is gone on AU PSN too. Welp. Guess I'll wait for a sale too.

Does anyone know if they plan on doing a physical release? Would wait for that if they are.
