Tom Hanks is our last hope. Please Tom, be the good guy in all this.
I wish they had mandatory classes on high school/college that ironed into people what is wrong and should never be done.
Too many people don't understand sexual assault/harassment/rape.
Let's get the main points out of the way first.
1) If you're both drunk or one of either is drunk, nobody can consent to sexual acts.
2) Consent can be revoked at any time. Regardless if you're in the act or not, if one party doesn't want to continue, you DO NOT continue.
3) Do not EVER touch a person inappropriately if they are not concious.
It's really not that difficult to not sexually assault somebody if you use common sense.
TMZ is reportedly working on a story regarding Tom Hanks' cannibalism.
It's true and for once you've mentioned it in an On topic discussion.Jackie Chan is already a piece of shit even without sexual assault on his resume.

If it's advice about how to maximize a lasting consent that no one will regret, then I understand.
To me drunk is fine. Falling over passing out? Not ok.
It's hard to define but you know it when you see it.
People who do that absolutely do shit like this.I don't buy this one.
He championed LGBTQ issues and women's rights and spent his own fortune in the efforts. People who do that don't do shit like this. This smells like opportunistic retaliation by rumor-mongering conservatives.
We got this whole thing here known as "Innocent until proven guilty" you know... Immediately supporting accusers by definition immediately condemns the accused, when you have utterly no clue what's what. And even IF he's ultimately proven innocent, it's a stain and experience that never goes and will and will haunt him for a long time, because that's just the way we fucking are. Now of course, if he's guilty, well, fuck him.Maybe he doesn't even remember it
It's okay to doubt people but we should always support accusers unless they give good reason not to.
Eagerly awaiting Takei's response.
Hollywood Reporter is a legit source. That's why this hurts.I don't buy this one.

I just don't think alcohol in the system = rape is that simple.
That does make sense.
If you're basically not conscious of what's happening it's basically like you're asleep.
I don't buy this one.

George Takei has been bashed time and time again by conservatives and conservative media for his boundary pushing progressive views and actions. I've been saying this for a while, but this whole movement is primed for opportunists to take advantage of. It just boggles my mind how everyone seems to think that what I'm saying is UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE when history has proven it as a thing time and time again. Whenever there's a movement in condemnation, whether it's the bloody witch trials, religious persecution, or a movement against oppression; when people in general by default automatically side with the accuser - RIGHT OR WRONG - there will be people who will use that against their neighbors for the sole sake of petty grudges.
Lol, I can think of quite a few enemies George Takei has made simply because of his extremely leftist views.

I would still wait for a response before busting out the tik....
I believe that it happened, but obviously this is a bit different than many other accusations in that both were adults on a date and had been drinking. We'll see what George has to say I guess.
It doesn't, but it tends to happen way too often due to human nature. We need to better control ourselves. We're not a court of law, and supporting an accuser doesn't mean you have to persecute the accused.
Anything is possible.I'm certain this will never happen. I've never felt such goodness from someone.
I'm having some trouble believing this. A friend of mine who is gay, and myself (straight) were at a gay club in Hollywood approximately 8-10 years ago. Mr. Takei was present. My friend, apparently has a very large uncircumcised penis, and was pretty loudly talking/boasting about it. Mr. Takei was within earshot and challenged him on it.
Friend, claiming it was a full 13 inches obliged to display said penis. At which point Mr. Takei stopped him saying he believed him, and it wasn't necessary feeling that his bluff was called. My friend then offered to let George have a feel under his pants. Again, Mr Takei declined even though he was very obviously attracted to my buddy - good looking dude, probably 25 at the time.
George bought us all a round of drinks and thanked us for the laugh and mental image, and told my friend to be safe.
Now, I realize this is all anecdotal, but in my one-off experiment Mr. Takei seemed like a stand up dude. I'm interested to hear, his statement on this gentleman's claim.

It'll happen and it'll be that cat from the land of make believe.

I dunno. From what I heard, Tom Hanks definitely bit chunks out of every person he ever met.Do you think every person that interacted with Kevin Spacey, or Harvey Weinstein, or Bill Cosby was sexually assaulted? It's certainly possible this story isn't true, but saying "But he does so much for charity!" or "But he didn't grab my friend's dick!" are not convincing defenses.
Bill Cosby did a lot for the black community and look what ended up happening to him.

jesus christ i dont even know how to respond to that video. I feel like that was the point. So controversial it was supposed to be funny or some shit. Chappelle also reeked of 'give trump a chance' after the election so fuck him.
It only makes sense in the context of the entire set because he spent pretty much the entire hour setting up the joke. Out of context, it's definitely not funny and I don't see its relevance to the thread outside of just being a summary of the good things that Cosby did during his career.jesus christ i dont even know how to respond to that video.
