It's the reason I always write "MAKE THE HERO TALK" in all my pools. This shit is infuriating, especially when they both have VAs. They're not mutes, just make them answer sometimes, give these VAs some line ffs.Paimon is enjoyable when she gets to bounce off characters and not just repeating everything for the player.

WELLWell I failed it twice and it wasn't on purpose lol... first time I raced straight at him not realizing what I was supposed to be doing, second time I stayed too far away and he disappeared.
Yes, 3rd time was the charm. It wasn't that much of a struggle in the end, I just wasn't ready for it. :pWELL
listen
sometimes i put my foot in my mouth
I dunno if you got it by now (i'ma guess you did, since it's been a while, but, for posterity), but Paimon will let you know when you're too far and just stick to behind walls and/or above him (like when he talks to the shopkeeper in the stall for example) and you should get through it!
edit2: is it me or are they really pushing the romantic undertones with this one
Paimon's existence isn't the problem, it's the fact she speaks for the player. Having the player mouthpiece be that dumb is fine for the occasional joke but it's also kind of the only joke.
True, it's not the Lyre Church mission.
Please don't put stealth missions into games that don't have stealth mechanics.
I'm actually kind of enjoying it. It sucks I can't really make use of her at the moment because she's stuck on a lower level, but it took a little oomph out of getting Ganyu and Eula when I was able to just blast them up to 90 within an hour. I'll be farming the mechanics boss for her mats every chance I get, sure, but there's a finite amount of Sakura Blooms I can claim per day to keep me from getting her to 90 instantly and I'm fine with it.right now I'm grinding for ayaka resources
I'm spoiled since usually when I get a new character I have most of my resources ready since I collect everything I see
having to actually find new stuff is a hassle
Noelle and BarbaraEvery day I wait until the Thoma banner and hope he's with another character I want.
Too long.
It's not worth navigating your way to 6 different endings for 3 seperate characters for a single Debate Club. Maybe in a pre-Inazuma world.
Yup me too, especially what the traveler did at the very end :pAyaka's story quest was really sweet. :) And I loved that ending cutscene.
I know its been only 2 days but whats the consensus on Ayaka gameplaywise so far?
The framerate will chug, but some people are not super sensitive to this. The 2nd worst thing is that the loading times are horrendous. Other than this it is playable. My girlfriend has resisted playing on her phone not long after launch because she hates the touch controls. She's watching me play on PS5 and wants to try on her PS4. She's not a technophile, and can't even tell the difference between standard 30fps and 60fps with Raytracing.
Will she be okay with the PS4 version, all things considered? She's been playing My Time at Portia on her PS4 alongside me playing Genshin, and that runs and looks pretty bad in a t so I feel like she won't really be put off.
Early impressions seems to be:
- Not as powerful as Ganyu, looks more like Hu Tao/Xiao tier. Strong but balance character.
- Her burst deals great raw damage. The issue with it, it has smaller AoE than initially thought. Her morgana comp performs weaker than Ganyu's morgana due to lack of AoE potential. However, it's still big enough to hit multiple enemies with correct positioning/enough CC from other units (Venti, Kazuha) so still fine. Basically Ganyu prefers mobs, Ayaka prefers single target or few (2-3) enemies.
- Her charged attacks are good (like Keqing), definitely want to include it on her rotation. AFAIK, people are still testing whether to go with N4C x2 or N2C x3 for ideal attack string.
- Her normal and charged do not shared ICD. Meaning, with cyro infusion on her dash, she can apply cyro element very fast. Probably the best at shreding Abyss Herald shield at the moment (as solo character, not counting combination).
- Have good synergy with Venti. Both of charged attacks and Burst can hit enemies inside of Venti's burst.
- Utilize XQ greatly for permafreeze team as expected.
- Her own melt damage isn't that great due to the nature of her smaller multiple hits. But can act as enabler for Pyro units (like enable Xiangling subDPS). However, dunno if it compete with established vape/melt team like Hu Tao Vape, Childe-Xiangling, National team, etc. For now, freeze seems to be her thing, but who knows.
- Energy requirement isn't as strict as Eula. Her 80 cost Q isn't that hard to work around.
lol she will be fine. I started playing Genshin recently on base PS4; the game looks pretty and runs well. It takes some seconds to load the texture after log in and sometimes after teleporting, but that's it. No freeze or noticeable slow down so far. I am also not good at telling the difference between 30 and 60fps unless it is a fast paced action game, racing or FPS, so it doesn't bother me at all with Genshin. My girlfriend has resisted playing on her phone not long after launch because she hates the touch controls. Is there a comprehensive guide for this? I'm not sure exactly what I need to do daily and for what, haha.
Yeah its weird. I wonder if two different teams were involved and the main story got stuck with the Liyue designers. Why are the side quests super interesting with amazing puzzles cool locations secrets and rewards and then main story quests are just… basic dialogue after dialogue with no gameplay always in the same basic places? I DONT GET IT LOL

Hmm it's probably just because before her no one wanted to play charge shot archers. People didn't really like archers period. So she's very strong but with the caveat of you have play in a way that most people don't like playing, which is a form of balance. If there was a choice of two characters, Ganyu and a sword/polearm user that was equivalent of Ganyu in terms of power, a high majority of players would likely pick the latter simply because they don't want to play a charged shot character. So making those characters a bit more powerful gives the playerbase the incentive to play them. And as we've seen, that has been the case.I still don't understand why they made Ganyu so ridiculously overpowered. Was it just over correction from the pre buff Zhong Li backlash?
Yeah that could be why, but as you said I was happy we at least got that cool dungeon this time. I wonder how Act II is, I haven't reached it yet.I'm going to guess they don't want to hinder people's ability to go through the main story by not being able to solve puzzles or find secrets, and so they leave it for optional content.
Though I agree it's frustrating. I do as I said like the main story though. But it doesn't require much thought. Cool cutscenes though. Also the dungeon in Chapter 1 was pretty cool, way better than usual.
