Man, Fallout has one of the most Toxic fanbases on the internet, this is like the Rick and Morty Sauce incident all over again.
Fallout 76 is probably disliked because Bethesda have been caught out. Open world games are a dime a dozen now and none of them are as janky as Bethesda games. Add in online and it had no hope.
Maybe if fans stopped giving Bethesda a pass for sub-par products and stopped taking it out on other people, they'd get a good game from Bethesda.

Is it true that in this game you PVP by non-damagingly shooting somebody to initiate a duel, but also that PVP is accepted by having the shot player damagingly return fire whilst still virtually invincible and out of the duel?
Ergo, if the player you have asked to duel equips a shotgun, psycho, walks up to you, and VATSs your head, you're completely fucked with no chance of fighting fairly?
