Resident Evil 2 Remake gave me a newfound appreciation for games that take place in the dark.

Yeah, the beautiful art is somewhat lost on the small Switch screen. Playing it at 4k on an OLED, it's absolutely stunning.

i would argue that it's the most effective atmosphere in any game this gen.

that being said, games/movies/books that take place in space makes me wonder how there's no night/day cicle, that depends on a planet that revolves around the star.. and how weird this would make people's sleep/work schedule in a space ship lol

The Metro Series. Especially the first 2 games which mostly take place inside dark claustrophobic tunnels. Most atmospheric games I have ever played.
