Me too. But I also read "Fox News", so I thought it would be bullshit.

It is BS because it's waaaaaaaaay too early to predict an impact zone.

Figures they wouldn't actually look at the picture they posted. You'll see that the probable impact zone covers slightly less than half the planet. I guess lower Michigan is in that area, sure.

Read the actual science sites and not the news and they all say the same thing: They don't have a clue where it's coming down. But somehow Fox News does? Hm.

The bolded is all you need to know.

You know what would protect America from falling Chinese space debris?

A wall... for the sky... A skywall. You can even make China pay for the Skywall :V

Nah it needs to be a net as everyone who watches "Fox News" knows that nets to catch things that are falling.

Just wait for it. Trump plans to install a Skynet to protect America from Chinese space debris

Chances are it'll land in the ocean but we won't know more until it really starts deorbiting. We knew it'd do this for a while and are tracking it carefully.

TV show called Dead Like Me.

She dies when she gets hit in the face by a toilet seat falling from a space station. The show is about her existing as a reaper, taking peoples souls moments before they are actually killed in mostly amusing fashion.

Was the first thing I saw Mandy Patinkin in.

As a Southern Michigander this shouldn't be any more difficult than surviving our roads.

Dope. I'll be out in Southern Michigan doing field work when this happens. Fingers crossed this thing lands directly on top of me.

According to a new report from the Aerospace Corporation, southern portions of lower Michigan fall into the regions listed as having a high probability of debris landing from the 8.5-ton space station. The report also identifies northern China, central Italy and northern Spain as regions with higher chances of impact.

Well I'm glad they were able to narrow it down.

Since it's from China, will the US be sending them import bill to cover the cost of the tariffs against steel and aluminum used in the space station?

It'll likely just land in and (partially) fill a Michigan pothole. Win/Win all around

It's a bit funny to me that the window for when/where it would hit is so huge. In the movies whenever something space related is happening they just do some trig on a black board and know exactly where things are going to go.

What are the chances America uses this as a means to start more shit with China, saying China is launching orbital attacks on America /s

To be honest, I still don't think they know where it'll land but it had me think of a few things.

The only reason this is news is because of the fact that it landing in the US was possible. The thing is fraction the size of Skylab or Mir.
