I didn't realize Scooby Doo was a franchise with, like, actual pedigree.
Velma has also already been depicted as different ethnicities before (east asian, and latina in that latest animated movie I believe)
there's only one thing that's been changed so reactions like that are funny ngl
An "adult" Scooby Doo show where Scooby and the Gang solve murders and deal with more adult problems I'd be more open to checking it out even if it's not really what I want from the IP. A "scooby doo show" that only focuses on one of the 5, regardless of who it is, doesn't sound appealing to me even if it was marketed for kids. The worst era of Scooby Doo IMO is the Scooby/Shaggy/Scrappy era and it has nothing to do with Scrappy, it has to do with the structure of the show and missing half of the core cast. Scrappy gets a lot of underserved hate, that era of Scooby would have been awful regardless of who the 3rd character was.Looking at this thread, 80% of people's problems would be solved if Scooby-Doo was in.
Velma. Isn't. A. Real. Person. Are. You. Grace. Randolph. Or. Something.Just. Make. A. New. Character.
Stop. Changing. Characters. That. Are. Already. Established.
The other characters are there, though. So that makes even less sense. So they are making a Scooby Doo clone without Scooby Doo? Why though…….
Give her Scooby. Even if the other characters aren't there.
Pun not intended but I'll take it lmfao.
So that you can have a bloody fight scene where you capitalize on Ultra Instinct Shaggy memes.
...but changing characters and stories from their source has been a thing in every entertainment media since forever.
Whoops. Didn't really understand that thing about the four key characters at first. Well damn that is really weird. The other characters are there, though. So that makes even less sense.
Yep."Change Bad"
only noticeable change: Skin is darker.
Some of y'all being extremely sus right now tbqh
It's actually called "Velma."

To be fair, isn't that the only way a cartoon would get an adult rating? Ratings aren't exactly based on how intellectual a show isidiots: "adult cartoon means we need graphic violence and T&A"
Id argue the chopped off head with visible human brains is a noticeable change in the Scooby-Doo world."Change Bad"

This is still entirely possible tho? They could've made an entirely new character from South Asia and even made her a love interest to Velma. Now that would've been great in my opinion.
Is the show called "Scooby-Doo" or is it called "Velma""Why are they making a Scooby-Doo show without Scooby-Doo."
"Clearly the complaints in here are about race!"

Does the show have literally every Scooby-Doo character except Scooby-Doo, or is it just Velma? This is still entirely possible tho?

Shut up we're all sus."Why are they making a Scooby-Doo show without Scooby-Doo."

My guess is because there will be forms of nudity in this and dog nudity is bad.
It's funny I actually thought there was a chance this wasn't the race thing.... that'll teach me to be less generous in the futureAnd I'll stick with that.
Like I said, I hate changing an already established character for the sake of change regardless what media it's from.
LOL the title got me too
And I'll stick with that.

Well shit, my bad on that. Either way, no Scooby Doo in the gang... I just think that's shit.
