And I love every single bit out of it. It looks so crazy good on my 4K, the only other game that gave me this polished 4K native vibe was Spider-Man, so I'll sticking with this mode for my playthrough.
How's the framerate in resolution mode? Might go with this. And I love every single bit out of it. It looks so crazy good on my 4K, the only other game that gave me this polished 4K native vibe was Spider-Man, so I'll sticking with this mode for my playthrough.
Locked 30fps. It actually feels pretty good though, so I could see why people would feel comfortable picking it even when 60 is an option. 60 is too buttery smooth for me not to choose though
Awesome, added to op!Jawmuncher I finally got it, you were right! So for everyone else who has the disc version but also the PS+ version installed:
Delete the PS+ version, pop-in the Play Disc and ignore any "Insert Data Disc" prompts, go to PS Store and simply search for Intergrade or click the ad-banner and it will show you the PS5 upgrade. The Upgrade option did not appear on the tab of the game for me.

30, but locked 30 and super smooth and after 5 minutes you don't even think about it anymore that it's not 60. Definitely worth a try, switching doesn't need a reboot and works on the fly.

First small bits of details.
--Resolution in Quality mode: 2160p
--Resolution in Performance mode: 1620p (almost called it!)
--Improvements in GI
--Fog has been added
--Most textures have been touched up
--Shadows have been improved
--Loading times have gone from 40 seconds to 2 seconds. You can also boot from the OS into your save file in around 6 seconds.
--Pop in has been reduced.
There doesn't seem to be any dynamic res scaling, but we'll see what DF has to say eventually. For now, it looks great regardless of the mode that you choose to play.
The PS+ version can't be used for an upgrade at all so it should require the disc every time.Do you still need to use the play disc after doing this? Or will it then work without a disc because you downloaded it on PS+ previously?

Can someone explain to me this 1620p resolution, will it look great on a 60" TV? or are there aliazing.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but will disc users need to keep the PS4 version installed, so that the PS5 doesn't try and reinstall the PS4 version every time you put the disc in? Or did that whole issue get fixed?
Can confirm you do need the disc.Do you still need to use the play disc after doing this? Or will it then work without a disc because you downloaded it on PS+ previously?
30fps looks awful on my LG CX. Maybe with a little blur it could look better, but I can clearly see the changes between frames and the jumps when moving the camera. 60fps all the way for me.

Are the hit flashes for Cloud as bad as they appeared in some videos?
Pretty sure that one video was captured incorrectly. Perhaps tone-mapped HDR video, because I'm not seeing the full-screen white. Are the hit flashes for Cloud as bad as they appeared in some videos?
Are the hit flashes for Cloud as bad as they appeared in some videos?
Absolutely. The 30 FPS mode looks terrible on OLEDs, whereas with 60 FPS the animations look incredible.
That plus there is diminishing returns with the resolution bump. Graphically, the performance mode looks nigh-on identical to fidelity mode, yet improves the motion immeasurably.

4-5 Hours it looks like depending on difficulty and all that.
Longer if you want to do "all" of it.
I started replaying FFVII Remake several days ago attempting to get more of the trophies so I could get a nice amount of trophy transfers for the PS5 version. Now that I have 3 trophies to go for the PS4 platinum, I have the dilemma of wanting to platinum for both platforms, but not wanting to play through the game twice to get the trophies and not wanting to fatigue myself by playing through the entire PS4 version on hard mode when the PS5 version has such drastic updates that I really want to experience. I guess I'll go for the platinum for PS5 and maybe way later on I'll go back to the PS4 version, tough as I'm sure it'll be after having played with all the improvements of the PS5 version.
It seems to be a thing where it's assuming I'm set up for surround, even though I'm not and the console knows I'm not. Plugging in headphones fixes it.I'm having an extremely weird issue where dialogue in cutscenes is EXTREMELY quiet, but is fine in normal gameplay and I can't imagine why that would be.
Can't agree to that. The immediate moment you switch from 60 to 30 appears to look bad, I even wrote that yesterday as first impression, you turn the camera for the first times after switching it looks terrible for the eye, but just 3 minutes in and it's completely gone and you adjusted to it. Everything you see then is the crazy crystal clear native 4K clarity.
