About The Event and Organizer
The Evolution Championship Series (Evo for short) represents the largest and longest-running fighting game tournaments in the world. For 20 years, Evo has brought together the best of the best from around the world in an electric exhibition of skill and fun. During one incredible event each year, Evo hosts players and fans gathering to honor their competitive spirits in an open format tournament to crown World Champions. Evo 2022 is that event!
Evo was previously brought to you by Tom and Tony Cannon along with many other folks in the community. As of this year, Sony (SIE) in a joint venture with esports organization RTS have acquired Evo. Combo Breaker steward Rick 'The Hadou' Thiher is now the General Manager of Evo and our own Mark 'MarkMan' Julio still heads business development at Evo. The same TO leads are still heading up Evo so the event is still driven by the community. And yes, Evo 2019 was the first event that paid volunteers and Evo 2022 continues to do so.

In an overabundance of caution, all attendees are required to wear an approved face covering while at Evo and must provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (14 days past final vaccination shot) or a negative Covid test (within 48 hours of entering the venue for a PCR/NAAT test and within 24 hours of entering the venue for an antigen test) to enter the event spaces
