Fucking mad lad.
Edit: I thought you said "not" crafting more. Lol. I take that back, normal lad.
There's a detailed explanation from a CDPR forum moderator, but who knows if it's technically accurate.
I'm on Stadia so I guess I will just stop crafting since I have no way of checking the save data. You can check your save files over at:
PC
%userprofile%\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077
PlayStation 4
Settings > Application Saved Data Management > SAVED DATA IN SYSTEM STORAGE > Cyberpunk 2077
PlayStation 5
Settings > STORAGE > [Storage device] >Saved Data > PS4 Games / PS5 Games > Cyberpunk 2077
Xbox One
My Games and Apps > Cyberpunk 2077 > Menu > Manage Game > SAVED DATA
Xbox Series X|S
My Games and Apps > Cyberpunk 2077 > Menu > Manage Game and add-ons > SAVED DATA
I wonder what is going through CDPR's decision making when deciding to release this? Face the wrath for another delay or face the wrath for a half completed game and also lose millions while tarnishing your rep forever.
you should keep collecting as many items as possible and crash googleI'm on Stadia so I guess I will just stop crafting since I have no way of checking the save data.
Yeah, I have so much shit it's not even funny and my saves are 4.5 mb. Unacceptable to have save issues like this in a game where so much is built around personal taste and playstyle. Losing a save would be devastating.

IDK this reads like gibberish to me. Witcher 3 had issues with slowdown with huge inventories but I've never heard of a save file being capped at 8 megs. There's a detailed explanation from a CDPR forum moderator, but who knows if it's technically accurate.
the next hotfix removes gameplay and you cannot do anything so the game can't crash. problem solved.
Being a moderator on the official forum has got to be one hell of a time right nowThere's a detailed explanation from a CDPR forum moderator, but who knows if it's technically accurate.
I haven't even played CP2077 but it's the most entertaining game all year for me
Why not get a refund? Rebuy the game if/when it's fixed and at a lower price.LMAO. I preordered it, but haven't played one fucking second of it due to wanting to wait until at least a month's worth of patches were out. Looks like I'm going to have to keep waiting.
Hey, if they rebalanced the game and focused on hand placed loot/quest rewards, that would be a significant improvement.
Glad someone made a thread of this. Watch this video from YongYea, truly the craziest shit I've ever seen.
By the way CDPR, if having too many items crashes your game, how about putting a LIMIT on the amount of any particular item a person can carry? You know, like any fucking half decent game does to avoid such issues. What in the actual fuck.
Supposedly it's fairly well-known in the industry that CDPR has a high turnover rate. This is an absolute joke. What happened at CDPR? Has a game ever released with this many issues? Did the devs that worked on Witcher 3 just leave after being told they had to crunch even harder for CP2077? Christ.
This was my first assumption. It would also explain why a future patch wouldn't fix previously corrupted files. The bug here seems like it's probably much simpler – hard coded an 8 meg max on the output buffer and lost data at the tail end of the file during write, making it unrecoverable.
Can't we mock both?
