Nah, that's what happens when Kyle insists they play a game most of the group aren't interested in.
Depends what it's used for. Huber Syndrome with the green screen is a huge improvement over the old episodes without it, for example.I was watching Damiani stream where he shows his new equipments for the stream. I absolutely aprove but.... he said he's gonna get a green screen to use... I hope this doesn't spread to the other allies.
Is that an unpopular opinion? I don't like the chroma key, much prefer the cam little boxes.
Still, super nice that he's improving his setup. And Kyle had new lightings this past week too.
The thing is, any time you're trying to keep the camera from overlapping the game, you're going to be left with extra space to fill. Plus, it really is good to have dedicated space for things like our logo and subs. I think the new design I have going is a good compromise for the solo streams, but I gave Damiani some feedback today on the recent group stream layouts - which are even tougher since you need to fit in 8 people with the wide shot.I'm pro-green screen. One of the biggest problems with EZA streams is the ridiculous amount of space that is dedicated to anything other than the game: The Dragon Ball Fighters stream was particularly bad for this.

The ideal solution would be two group cams IMO, with a closer shot of the couch and the back bench moved over to the side with their own cam. But I'm guessing you guys probably would've already tried that if it were easy to set up in Jones' garage. The thing is, any time you're trying to keep the camera from overlapping the game, you're going to be left with extra space to fill. They didn't. The original Funimation dub gave Frieza a voice that made many think he was a woman, though. So I'm catching up on the latest Frame Trap and there's a moment like an hour in where Ben refers to Frieza from DBZ as a she and I had to do a double take to make sure I heard correctly. Did they really change Frieza into a female for the American dub? How come?
The podcast isn't public until friday, that's why. And last week it felt like a bit and some people here were still hoping that Kyle wasn't serious.
If these people don't want to be spoiled, they need to cough up some Patreon money like the rest of us!
That's why Huber keeps saying "he" lolSo I'm catching up on the latest Frame Trap and there's a moment like an hour in where Ben refers to Frieza from DBZ as a she and I had to do a double take to make sure I heard correctly. Have nothing to do with that thread - still judging you.(Hell in Shonen Jump manga threads we discuss the illegal chapters on Fridays and it's the people who want to wait for the official release on Monday who bow out)
Yup.Even if one person doesn't want to be spoiled, I don't see the issue on just putting it on tags. No one should be taken aback by the horror of having to click something to reveal the contents.
lol they changed the why Jones pronounces "Videl" on the latest Game Sleuth after the stream chat freaked out on the live version.
Really loved the episode, even though I had known most of the info since reading about it on Daizenshuu EX like a decade ago.
Keep up the great work Damiani and co!
Okay no seriously, as the most Spoiler-Sensitive person on this planet after Michael Huber with MGS, if you care about Spoilers for a Video Game Podcast, that's on YOU. It's not on the world to bend to your idiosyncrasy, it's on YOU. You don't want to be "spoiled"? Don't come into the thread until you've listened to it. Or don't read anything before you make a post and interact with the people who respond directly to you. But at that level on being spoiler-sensitive, it's on you to do the dodging. Cause I can understand caring enough about the podcast to want to be surprised by it (that's pretty much my case as well which is why I listen as soon as it drops) but let's not prevent people from discussing something once it is officially available. Not sure why this bothers you. The podcast isn't out for non-patrons yet, there are definitely people who post here and aren't patrons or aren't at the $5 tier. There's no reason they should have to avoid coming here to discuss, say, Frame Trap, Tabletop, or a group stream just because they don't get another show early. It doesn't hurt anyone to use the spoiler tags, we can have the exact same discussion we'd have without them while also not forcing anyone to avoid the thread for 2-3 days. Everybody wins.

was proud to be apart of that lol
Lol between the review scores thing and the spoiler thing, I think this thread needs a fresh, jolly topic...how would you guys like to see the Allies handle E3 this year?
I mostly want them to upload their conference commentaries and end of day discussions on podcast services.
Oh and...I guess I'm good if they don't dress up for the conferences. Or at least just keep it at a shirt with rolled up sleeves lol. I imagine the garage must get pretty hot lol
You ain't playing by your own goddamn rules, son!Lol between the review scores thing and the spoiler thing, I think this thread needs a fresh, jolly topic...how would you guys like to see the Allies handle E3 this year?

Huber has to get better talking about games without spoilers!
It's ironic that the guy who's among the most sensitive about spoilers among the group is going "ok, I'm going to spoil this part..." in almost every discussion on every podcast right away. I don't mind most of the time but some of the stuff he spoils can easily be talked around.
Yeah can't think of much myself. I love their E3 coverage so much I rewatch them over and over (well, more like put them in the background while playing a game). For real, though, I'm not sure what new things I could think of that would make the E3 coverage even better since I love how they do it now.
I feel usually when he does that on FT he gives a fair warning. With Kingdom Come it was a bit abrupt lol so someone who may have wanted to skip ahead would've had to rush to their phone.Huber has to get better talking about games without spoilers!

Completely agree.I was going to say the opposite. Allies need to be more open and talk about the whole game, instead of constantly going, can I spoil this, can I talk about this. They aren't going to do spoiler modes for all games so just talk about the game openly so we know your thoughts. Rather than some surface level talk about the game.
If someone has an issue they can skip the section and come back when they finish it. Most of the time they are jumping around spoilers for games because a few people who probably will never play it are gonna complain

NO.
I'm serious. Dressing up for the part is one part of what makes E3 special. Don't change it a bit.
edit: Honestly, they should double down and make the Hall of Greats a black tie event.

It's weird. Their idea of trying to keep adding stuff to FF XV has made me quit the game and I wanted to wait until the game was done. I was thinking of playing it further sometime this year, but I guess I will probably hold off.
(started it when the game came out, but stopped after I heard they were going to add extra story and because an other game came out (I think Yakuza 0))
I already removed it because I am not 100% sure if it was Yakuza or why I actually stopped. I know the story thing was a big reason.I was gonna be like "DUUUDE...no waayyy" but then I remembered that it was just me who got to Yakuza 0 in April but otherwise the game came out in January lol.
But yeah the main story's done so if that's what's keeping you out you can jump in.
