I too missed the red light. I had thought it was part of upping the production values and differentiating the look of the shows by having different color tints for each show.

Right, I've seen that thread and commented in it when it first came up. Please show me where it is stated that they intended to take it over in order to shut it down.
This is my issue with that subreddit and a lot of reddit in general. People have said that this subreddit is "not that bad" but if homophobic or transphobic shit like that is not only allowed to be posted, but isn't removed promptly then it's not a place I want to visit.
Vast majority of people who gave GAF and now ERA shit over the moderation are the same people who want to post hateful shit without consequences.

Just wanted to let you know I'm not a girl, firstly. I clearly display that information, and my pronouns, on every social media platform I'm on. Next, I don't think I'll ever abandon the community or the Allies no matter what stuff happens that I personally disagree with, and I have never stated anything akin to that. I love EZA very dearly. Perhaps I could have been a little less emotional in some of my opinions on issues that have come up, especially political ones, but, like, that's kind of the way the cookie crumbles. There's also stuff going on that folks don't see- I've absolutely brought concerns to the allies privately. I try very hard to not be antagonistic to anyone personally, but please privately message me if you've got any concerns about that?
Also, criticism differs from hate. Criticism is fine. Slurs and insults are different, and on most other forum-like platforms would be deleted pretty quick. Or they should, at least. Because that's unproductive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This in no way describes what Noah wrote. And regardless, those Reddit posts weren't constructive criticisms; they were ad hominem attacks. Leaving those attacks to fester without any consequences is tacit approval by the moderating team, because downvoting generally does nothing.

Let's be real durring the whole Colin situation large parts of the community were antagonistic with large parts of the community. Singling out someone because they were antagonistic when tensions were at there highest isn't exactally fair.

I don't like the notion that the reddit community is toxic, it's a mixed bag just like every other community (even here). You don't choose who is part of the community unless it's a walled garden. If you want people on the subreddit to think the ERA easy allies community is militant and toxic, then labeling them with a broad stroke is not going to help that image.

I do wonder if it can be moderated given the platform it's on. Reddit's CEO straight up said racial slurs were not against the rules just a week or so ago. He had to backpedal on it since then but still. Also subcommunities like the one dedicated to watching black people die were only banned 3 years ago. Yeah, that was a thing.

I haven't seen the screenshot, but if it's still about the whole Colin thing, a big part of the EZA community got heated back then and the things that have been said back and forth shouldn't matter anymore to either camp.
It's somewhat weird for somebody to drag that whole thing back out of the ditch. It's done for quite a while now and there is not reason to go back to it.

It depends on where you live in Europe, but I suspect not for a lot of people on the East side of Europe. It starts at 10pm here (Belgium, which is UTC+2 in the summer) and that would be somewhat ok for me to catch a few hours of it (as I tend to go to bed way too late), but I don't know yet if I am going to watch the stream for those few hours or just wait until the weekend (I hope it is getting uploaded to youtube aftwards, otherwise I will watch the Twitch VODs).
I honestly don't think that GoW will keep most people who tend to watch a stream like this live away from the stream. Yakuza 6 came out a few days ago, I think it's the same for that one.
