The funny thing about lootboxes is that the lower-tier items (e.g. a 3* draw in a 5* gacha game) is often completely useless by design, often even being worse than nothing since it takes up inventory space which you then have to manage.
I'd estimate about 60% of their total profits comes from Ultimate Team.Just how much is EA reliant on loot boxes. Makes me think they would burn fast if gambling mechanics were made illegal.....
