Eh, we are all expecting it to happen anyway. I am sure there will be some people upset, but I expect most comments to be something like "well, we all knew it was gonna happen."
For me, I started to dislike exclusives on EGS when they took Ashen away at the last minute. I was gonna play that on PC through my Game Pass sub (I don't own a Xbox), but at the last second it became an EGS exclusive. Also, when games go exclusive to EGS, the average price for the game goes up. Like you said, there are plenty of launchers, and also plenty of third party key sellers on PC. I can't remember the last time I paid $60 for a game at launch thanks to key sellers. Then there is passing the payment processing fees onto consumers outside of the US, making games even more expensive for those folks. So enlighten me why should I "fight" against and throw shit at the Epic Store.
As it's been stated MULTIPLE times by the PC gaming community, it isn't just another launcher. We all use so many different launchers for our games. But there are issues with EGS, and PC gamers don't want to support it. That's the other thing I don't get. Why do other people care so much that certain PC gamers don't want to support Epic? We all have our reasons on why we spend or don't spend money with certain companies. But now when PC gamers don't wanna support Epic, we're whiny and entitled (not your words, but I've seen that used before).
