What does that even mean? I'll play competitively against other Switch owners. Ain't nothing casual about me in ranked lol.Maximillian was playing a review copy the other day: he said it had some framedrops, and it was a good version for practicing combos anywhere, but not for competing seriously.
That being said, I suppose if you want to play casually it's still a good port.
Of course, and if you are competing and drop a tight combo because of framedrops and probably lose because of it, you'll get mad. I know because I do everytime there's some lag playing online xDWhat does that even mean? I'll play competitively against other Switch owners. Ain't nothing casual about me in ranked lol.
The digital version is also still not purchasable in the EU eShop. I imagine it will unlock when the shop usually updates, at around 17pm GMT (5 hours from now).Okay, what the fuck is up with switch digital releases? Its 9/28 almost 4am PST and the fucking game is still locked?
Purchasable in the UK at least, right now.The digital version is also still not purchasable in the EU eShop. I imagine it will unlock when the shop usually updates, at around 17pm GMT (5 hours from now).

I love Dragon Ball, and have always wanted to get into Fighting Games, but have never been able to. Is this a good place to start, or is it not particularly newbie friendly?
Yeah for sure. Autocombos (essentially button mashing) are very basic tools that do little damage comparatively, but give you the basic fundamentals of a combo, so they're something any kind of player can pull off. FighterZ also has a pretty nice tutorial and a combo trials mode that teach you the basic bread and butter of each character. Online will probably be filled with a lot of new players this close to launch, or you can play the pretty extensive single player modes if that gets too much for you.I love Dragon Ball, and have always wanted to get into Fighting Games, but have never been able to. Review code in the US only arrived yesterday for most outlets.Surprised there aren't any reviews yet. One would think that they would be available at least a couple of days before release.
You should only be able to tag out of neutral, so you can't do it while being combo'd. Also make sure to hold the button to switch out.So I just got wrecked in my first match online. What's up with the tag button, I was hitting L1 while getting wrecked but my partner never tagged in. It was annoying.
Also this lobby system is confusing, what on earth is a ring battle or arena battle? The only thing I understand is ranked.
You have to hold the trigger to tag. Tapping it just triggers and assist move/attack. And I don't think it works when you're being hit.So I just got wrecked in my first match online. Not like this game is super complex, dont even think the game has DPs. Plus you have multiple control options on switch, think you're over thinking it.
Yeah one of the reason I wanted them to release it in July or August. Give switch owners more time to enjoy it. Who knows though I may enjoy this more than smash. Will have to see what happens when I actually get smash and start playing on Switch. If anything like smash 3ds then I'm going to have a hard time putting it down.I want this game, but I know I will never play it once Smash releases. I will eventually buy it though
could've he said that during the demo and not the retail versionMaximillian was playing a review copy the other day: he said it had some framedrops, and it was a good version for practicing combos anywhere, but not for competing seriously.

Where might the the cheapest place to buy this? Amazon... Best Buy?

Yeah... Also I just played some matches on a friend's Switch, and the framedrops were very noticeable, happened on some busy moments like calling assist and doing an special move at the same time.could've he said that during the demo and not the retail version
OK thanks man. I'll figure it out I'm sure. It seems more packed with content then bbtag which is a good thing (though I love bbtag). Ranked is gonna be rough until the double dippers rank up.You have to hold the trigger to tag. Tapping it just triggers and assist move/attack. And I don't think it works when you're being hit.
Think of ring battle as setting up your own lobby. You can create a room and specify parameters like how many players, desired skill level (which some folks outright ignore), and even a pass code so only folks you want in can join. Someone can correct me on this, but I think Arena is like the experience of hanging out in the arcade waiting for your chance to play. It just matches you up with the next available player who's also in the Arena.

Welp, looks like this Bamco rep was either misinformed or lied
...because Super Butoden absolutely had it's soundtrack changed. Shame, that was the only decent thing about the game, too.
According to Nate:A little weird that this game is supposedly out (heard about it being locked on the digital store) but there isn't a single review of this out there. This is one of the biggest third party Switch games this Fall and the fact there isn't a single review is strange.

Shit, I forgot to! Is that the only way? Thought you just needed to buy game?
I have zero interest in Super Butoden, so if you don't get a code, you're welcome to it.Shit, I forgot to! Is that the only way? Thought you just needed to buy game?
Aww. Dang it lol.
