Yeah. Husband will probably be laid off within the next month, and I've had to sit down and figure out how long we can survive if both of us lose our jobs. I was in the middle of a big project for my yard, so I'll have to put that on hold probably just to be safe. Got enough cash on hand for 9 months without a job if I stop the project, but I think my job is safe and we can live okay without his salary.
Other than that, though, it's not affecting my life much. I make meals from scratch, and the produce sections are well stocked where I live so that's not going to affect me much other than getting rid of meals with chicken and ground beef as long as those are sold out. I work alone in an office, so still can go to work and staying home isn't a big deal either. Friends all have kids, so I can continue to see them just as infrequently as before.
I'm oddly hopeful about it if anything. Like maybe people will wake up and we'll get another New Deal out of this.
