I think Melty Blood has more chance. So Sion or Shiki Ryougi (*) are the only from Type-Moon deserve a chance in Smash.
I know Shiki is from a light novel, but as someone who can kill the impossible she should have the chance.

Ace Attorney's inclusion would be wonderful too. I can't imagine how Sakurai would turn Phoenix Wright, a lawyer, into a fighter. But what I would want the most, anyway, is a Visual Novel representative, independently of the chosen VN. Fate could be an easy choice simply because it is already based on fighting: for example Archer would have a variagated moveset - from bows to swords - while Saber is the most well known character from this VN. Maybe the only concern would be that Saber's inclusion would be associated only to the mobile game instead to the VN, but in any case it would be a good thing for the whole genre.
Can you really? I love AA and played all games, never played more than a minute of FGO, but Fate is orders of magnitude bigger than AA.
Saber itself has had so many iterations throughout the years that there really isn't a problem with coming up with a moveset for her.

The author also drew hentai. A lot of other artists did/do too though so it's not that weird. Xenoblade 2's artist for example. The guy who did the artwork for Megamsn Legends/EXE/Star Force/11 did as well if I'm remembering right.

Yeah, in spite of protestations that the series is past it's porn-game origins for a while now, thinking Fate immediately brings up the association of porn game. Even in spite of being story heavy. Its a reputation that sticks.
I think the point that there aren't many Fate games on Nintendo platforms is probably the barrier though.
The main game being promoted through such a crossover would be the mobile gacha FGO, which would be less desirable than promoting nothing at all like Banjo.

It is a series that was born on nintendo handhelds, have all of its releases on nintendo handhelds. It is up there with Megaman for me for 3rd party games I associate with Nintendo.
