People shaming V for his limp and his hair. Shameful behavior. I thought this place was supposed to be progressive smh
Might as well bring every DMC 1 enemyHere's a thought: Since we have so many returning enemies, what if V can summon a miniature Phantom?
I feel virtually certain that DMC5 will eventually add Trish, Lady, and Vergil as playable characters via DLC. Wouldn't be surprised to see additional weapons via DLC either.
I'd certainly prefer the latter, of course, but you can look at DMC3SE and DMC4SE to see how the game has traditionally been expanded.DLC characters and weapons would be so disappointing. A full on "expansion" that comes in one burst and has entirely new levels, bosses and story cutscenes is fine, but "pay us extra five or six times so you can use these characters and weapons in the levels you already played" just feels exploitative and wrong.
Agreed - though it looks like what we're getting in DMC5 is more like Nero and Dante being kinda powered up to be closer to 4SE's Trish/Lady/Vergil in terms of hitboxes and impact and so on, and that's fine too as long as the enemies are well balanced around it.If we do get Trish, Lady, and Vergil back down the road, I hope they are better balanced than they were in 4SE. They seemed to be designed to be fun and powerful first(which isn't bad) but 4's enemies were not equipped to handle those characters, especially Vergil.
Yeah this. It's almost a given that if they do Trish/Lady it's going to function like DMC4SE.I'd certainly prefer the latter, of course, but you can look at DMC3SE and DMC4SE to see how the game has traditionally been expanded.
I mean, you'd likely also have to sacrifice framerate to get DMC5 running at a decent level on the Switch, & we all know how that turned out for DmC. That plus the Switch doesn't currently support the RE Engine.Yeah this. It's almost a given that if they do Trish/Lady it's going to function like DMC4SE.
If they let me play as Lady...which seems likely, I'll be quite thrilled.
Hopefully they consider releasing this on Switch. And anyone who says *not gonna happen the switch can't run it" with reduced effects this would easily run. The levels seem very linear and I see nothing in the gameplay that strikes me as insanely taxing. Just high resolution and high poly counts paired with a great suite of particle effects and lighting. This almost seems easier to put on Switch than RE2 REmake.

That could work if those two are scaled up to match.Agreed - though it looks like what we're getting in DMC5 is more like Nero and Dante being kinda powered up to be closer to 4SE's Trish/Lady/Vergil in terms of hitboxes and impact and so on, and that's fine too as long as the enemies are well balanced around it.
I think Lady's level 3 Kalina Ann charge absolutely needs to go, of course. The sheer damage output of that move is kinda dumb.
Well we don't know that the Switch doesn't support the engine. Capcom helped in the designing of the Switch from the RAM amount to the OS/UI with the express intent of running RE Engine. Likely the engine is made to be scalable like MT Framework. They had to design it to put out RE7 on two displays simultaneously at 60fps to work on PSVR. Makes me think that it is versatile in how much or little it requires.I mean, you'd likely also have to sacrifice framerate to get DMC5 running at a decent level on the Switch, & we all know how that turned out for DmC. Yeah, I'll miss that. I do wonder if they'd keep Vergil being able to repeatedly dimension slash in devil trigger cuz that shit was ridiculous, even if it was limited to that form.
I will stil be immensly butthurt if there is no Dark Slayer or Vergil playable.
Vergil was soo god damn good in DMC4 SE, he made that edition worth it.
You'll get DmC DE and you'll be happyYeah this. It's almost a given that if they do Trish/Lady it's going to function like DMC4SE.

I hope Itsuno won't let that delicious teleporting katana unsheathing gameplay go to waste.
My hope is that (in coleration with leaked cutscenes)V is a traitor, demon in disguise who will fuck up Dante/Nero and you will play as Vergil later or that Vergil is a boss which drops Yamato for Dante.
