Yeah, Apes moving up for that makes sense. As well as tying the other film to Paris 2024. Marketing I wouldn't worry if the budget is around the same as a Searchlight Pictures film. It'll probably get around the same marketing as Poor Things (which I've been seeing decent amount of commercials now with the wide release kicking in/oscar season coming). This doesn't seem like something expected to hit $200 million even during the 2010s market.

Alright you know what, fuck it. I'm doing the monthly "What's Potentially Getting An Update" thing for March 2024/Last Minute February 2024 announcements now. The 31st is during the week and it's harder to do this during the work week. I could wait until the actual weekend. But fuck it. Doing it now.
- Well, as stated above: Wish is still not on the internal D+ server. I would not be surprised if Disney is no longer allowing internal server uploads pre-announcement of D+ launch dates to avoid suspicions from people. This does bring into question whether or not the 2024 Disney Films (that aren't anything that would be in the Hulu Add-On section) will get trailer pages. Something that P+ stopped as of recently as well. We'll see what happens. If Disney does what they did with The Marvels though, Wish will be on there in March. A month longer than the wait for Elementals. More than enough time to make clear that Disney Animated films don't go to Disney+ quickly after theatrical release anymore. We're about three weeks away from the earliest the March 2024 schedule could be dropped (since it's usually on the 15th) and Wish has already had it's launch date. So I'm not expecting any long gag orders on the March schedule this time around. Unless we have another Bad Batch situation with X-Men 97's release date getting announced the day of the schedule. I expect us to know the release date for Wish by February 15th is what I'm saying.
- If the earnings call is next month, I expect the "official" launch date (aka Hulu Add-on isn't in beta anymore) to be announced then. If it's not delayed from the previously estimated Spring 2024 window. Hopefully they fix the damn Continued Watching glitch that makes shows stay stuck in it. Or you know... actually let us remove things from Continued Watching like other services do.
- Disregard what I said about Poor Things coming in March. I think it will be April 2024 now with the oscar push. Home Digital might be late February though. All of Us Strangers could be March 2024 though.
- The Final Batch of Kiff Season 1 episodes will for sure be in March. To be honest, I'm surprised it wasn't late February. But there's no way it's not in March.
- We're getting basically half the season of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Season 2 in a week. Cable will be doing weeklies. Do not expect batch 2 for a bit. Make sure you watch the first batch if you want Season 3, because everyone involved with the show has made it clear they're looking at US Disney+ data from the drop to determine if Season 3 is happening. Specifically for this batch. It's make or break people.
- At this point, I'm expecting Pixar's Win or Lose to get a release date announcement whenever the day of the schedule for it's release month comes out like Iwájú. So if it's coming in March, it gets a release date in Mid-February. April, Mid-March. Ect. Still curious why they kept insisting it was December and then went quiet.
- Doctor Who Season 1 will debut in May 2024. So we'll talk about that more in a few months. I will say I take back judging Disney+ performance based on trending. I still think the title on the far left of that section is a title doing really well, but there's been more evidence based Disney bragging articles (and moves made by Disney for upcoming projects) from live action to animated at this point that it can not be used like a Top 10 section you see on Netflix, Max, Hulu, ect. We need that Top 10 section to properly gauge how well something is doing. The only thing I will say is if a title appears in trending the day it drops, that's usually a sign that it's doing extremely well since Disney usually doesn't put it in that section until 3am/Midnight EST.
- No idea when Bluey is coming back. Could be whenever since Disney is shelling out the big bucks to do US D+ premieres now.
- I was wrong on Star Wars Skelton Crew coming in February. Looks like Disney is relying on Bad Batch + The Marvels + Iwájú to keep subscribers in February. Would not be surprised at all if it gets a release date during the earnings call for some time in March though. Disney will need one of their live action shows as a big ticket item, Mando S3 was in March last year, and it's one of the shows we know finished production before every other 2024 expected live action show.
- Morbius is 100% coming in Early March as I stated above a few posts ago. There's not going to be a long period without it on a streaming service. I'll do you one better: If it's not March 1st, March 6th or March 8th, I'll be shocked. And it won't be Hulu Add-On exclusive because it's a Marvel film and Venom 1 is already on the service.
- In a shocking twist, Spider-Man: No Way Home is NOT on Fubo. It's a DirectTV exclusive in the US at the moment. I have... no clue what this means for how long it's on there and when it goes to Disney+. Maybe we can get lucky and it goes to US Disney+ this year. But I would not expect it on the March list.
- The US FuboTV hostage crisis continues. Into The Spider-Verse and Venom: Let There Be Carnage are still exclusive to the service. Every month that passes makes me think Venom 2 won't make it to US Disney+ before Venom 3 is in theaters. But I'd love to know exactly how long Into The Spider-Verse, a 2018 FILM, is stuck in pre-existing contracts that prevent it from going to US Disney+. Far From Home, a 2019 FILM has already finished all it's pre-exisiting contracts last year. It's been half a decade since Into The Spider-Verse came out in theaters. This is some 20th Century Studios film slate levels of contract madness. This can't continue for another year, can it? Like How To Train Your Dragon 3, a 2019 ANIMATED FILM just left US FuboTV (although it still hasn't migrated to any major streaming service yet). If Across beats Into The Spider-Verse to US Disney+, I'm not sure if my reaction will be laughter or dumbfoundedness.
- [Puts up Milk Carton saying "Have you seen the original Air Buddies movie? It didn't come as part of the Air Bud original movie package deal. WTF?"] (Yes, I'm going to copy and paste this until we get an answer from Disney+ on this. I know I'm the only one who cares.)
- Muppets Take Manhattan and Muppets In Space are once again on no major streaming services. I don't know if this or Spectacular Spider-Man not being on a major service right now (well, I guess YT for Spectacular, but I mean...) makes me more sad.
- Ghost Rider 1&2 are no longer on AMC+. Although I suspect like the Muppets it won't be coming anytime soon to US Disney+. Wouldn't it be nice?
- Elektra is still on US Max for the time being. Daredevil 03 is still missing from US streaming services. We will soon be five months away from Deadpool 3 and marketing may be starting soon. Are these two films going to make it on US Disney+ before Deadpool 3 goes to theaters? I guess I should be expecting it around May/June like Indy 1-4 in all honesty. But it would be nice to have at least Daredevil 03 on the service when the Deadpool 3 trailer drops, you know?
That's all for now. See you in Late February for the last minute March announcements and April list thingy.
