My experience eating at restaurants. People sit down at a table. They order, they eat, they pay, they leave. Now one of these people may leave during dinner for whatever reason. The restaurant won't give the bill for their portion at the restaurant as their exiting. They will leave the check with the table. Whoever's left at the table can fight over how they want to pay, the resturant doesn't care, as long as the check is settled.
I don't understand how people don't understand that the restaurant bills the table/booth. A sob story MIGHT get her out of the bill, but how is the restaurant going to trust that you're telling the truth instead of trying to skip out on half of an expensive bill?
