There's clearly chilis on the right. But Chilean sea bass makes more sense.
All I know is Hammond saved the kids by being a glutton.

Wouldn't it have made more sense if it was Nedry, the true glutton of the film, who snuck in and ate all the ice cream, and so turns out to be the hero after all? Or is there a part in the film where Hammond references ice cream that I've forgotten about??
So Jurassic Park was my second favorite thing to watch as a kid after Star Wars. When Hammond would say that Malcolm "suffers from a deplorable excess of personality," I didn't understand what that meant, so I thought that Hammond was saying Malcolm was literally suffering from some kind of illness. Malcolm was my favorite character so I thought it was really cool that he could be smart and a hero in spite of having an illness or disability.
It was only when I got older that I understood Hammond was just saying he's a jackass.
Not as bad as the 2001 quadrilogy.Hammond and Malcolm die in the book. Then somehow Malcolm is rezzed via retcon for the sequel.
That's much more confusing than sea bass
I probably seen Jurassic Park 25 times, minimum, and couldn't tell you a single thing they ate throughout the movie. Maybe jello? Expired candy bars? No, that was JP3.
i know man. goddamn food...

Chilean Sea Bass in the script.
There's no chili in this picture. It's Chilean sea bass.
Do people really not know of an indie 90s gem Jurassic Park?
OMG YES!
There is literally a scene where he (Hammond) laments the park with Ellie with all the melting the ice cream the night before Grant and the kids make it back.
Everyone is wrong.
It's "Chili 'n' Cheese Bash," due to the chilis and the clump of shredded cheese on top. And it's a bash.
I absolutely remember this because I watched the movie a bunch of times as a kid and he makes a really big point out of it.Do most people really remember what meal a character ate from a movie 25 years ago? Unless you constantly re watch it how do you remember that?
So many mysteries in this movie. This scene has always bothered me. Like, how the hell does Ellie get to the ice cream??
I present my case in a series of screenshots:
This scene, plus the scene where the T-rexes first break through their fence drove me nuts as a kid and are actually what got me interested in film analysis, haha.
Have you ever had museum food? I bet that plate was cold as hell.I always wondered why Sadler made that face. Shit, that looks good to me.
