The vast majority of players don't care about women either, but the same manbabies will still be as loud as possible while the game sells millions. YT dislikes aren't gonna change that. And hell no it wasn't revisionist history, the same players going about muh historical accuracy did the same thing it was 2 years ago you think the community can't remember? It's almost literally word for word from the "it's not actually about racism/sexism it's about historical accuracy" to a suggestion for an "authenticity setting" to "i'm not racist/sexist BUT"The video in question has 54k likes, 3.5k dislikes and 6m views.
It does not sound familiar at all, stop trying to revise the history of BF1: the vast majority of players did not care about black or female soldiers and packaging of BF1. If you could use the dumbest youtube comments as credible arguments, you would win every single time because there are enough dumb and troll comments to support any kind of view, you just have to pick and choose the ones which help your case.
Ryan is trying really hard.Yes, it's an actual real issue. But thinking that that's why the majority of people disliked this trailer can cause this:
People I spoke to said that this trailer was nowhere near as good as BF1 one and that it was a scripted CGI, that's why they disliked it. Of course they are a smallest minority but we have Infinity Warfare which was disliked because a lot of reasons.
Go look at those comments and look at how many upvotes they have. The video in question has 54k likes, 3.5k dislikes and 6m views.

Dice has mention war stories will return. In the stream, they mention a Norwegian resistance fighter iirc.Oh okay, so hopefully there will indeed be some of this in the story mode then.
I know it's probably asking a lot, but I'd be really interested to see a story from, say, the perspective of a Chinese or Korean soldier, or maybe even Ethiopia during their invasion by the Axis, though that might be a bit early in the war.Dice has mention war stories will return. Because gaming culture is dog-fucking-shitI still cannot comprehend why there is such a backlash to begin with.
This is why Medal Of Honor and the early Call Of Duty games were rad cause of focusing on different theatres.I know it's probably asking a lot, but I'd be really interested to see a story from, say, the perspective of a Chinese or Korean soldier, or maybe even Ethiopia during their invasion by the Axis, though that might be a bit early in the war.
I just hope it's not all Europe. WWII is way more 'world' than WWI was, by the numbers.
We shouldn't even be having this kind of outrage though! Why must we always prove that perceived notion that gamers are a bunch of whiny dorks who complain about everything? We really shouldn't live up to that name! Yet here we are complaining not only about women appearing in a game, but that we're also complaining about coloring and immersion so much that it comes to having a mass dislike of a YouTube video.
That would honestly be really cool, but ignored theaters are probably still going to stay ignored. The idea of the Second Italian-Ethiopian War is especially intriguing, but most people have never heard of it so it's not going to get the attention.I know it's probably asking a lot, but I'd be really interested to see a story from, say, the perspective of a Chinese or Korean soldier, or maybe even Ethiopia during their invasion by the Axis, though that might be a bit early in the war.

Honestly, I'd be happy if someone did the 442nd Regiment. It's the most decorated American unit from WW2 and no one has bothered telling their story.I know it's probably asking a lot, but I'd be really interested to see a story from, say, the perspective of a Chinese or Korean soldier, or maybe even Ethiopia during their invasion by the Axis, though that might be a bit early in the war.

why are ppl saying this multiplayer trailer? There is a cutscene from story in the first min lol
Who says it is a cutscene from the story? Could just be a scripted scene for that trailer.

Oh really? It looked so much like a cutscene like the ones from BF1
The trailer is really confusing. The second part is definitely showing multiplayer since there are playernames in the scorefeed when damaging or killing enemies. But that could also just be cluttered onto the top of the image for the trailer. I am really excited for EA Play to see real gameplay.

The US market is where Battlefield games sale the most. So its only a matter of time.My point was just more that we really don't need any more WWII games with America at center stage in any regard, there are loads already and Battlefield 1 already did the 'unsung American squad' thing.
Remember when Battlefield's trailer used to be so realistic bro? Like, they're so authentic, bro, you feel like you're experiencing the actual war.
0:53 was just too realistic for me.
Sorry, i'm not trying to exposs your dog-whistles but can you give some examples of a "SJW pro-like campaign"?If that's his stance from the beginning, then good luck. Never seen a SJW pro-like campaign being quite a success before.
Option is good though, but maybe it's better to make it natural when you're forcing a good agenda for a start. An officer for the woman's air force for example?
But nah that's too boring for their taste eh.
Second one is a meme about the women's "attraction". It's fucking transparent as shit. Also, ship of theseus.I see and understand the position of people who didn't excited for BFV, and it isn't because of women, it because of "fun over authenticity".

I agree, devs need to make the games that they want to play, not the games that they think will be well received by their customers, or that might make them lots of money. And if your game doesn't sell well and Papa EA takes you out the back and shoots you, at least you were true to yourself.Just make the game you want and don't let any "fan" ever change your mind.

Reiterating this.
If you're getting your history lessons from Battlefield, something is seriously fucking wrong.I'm 100% fine with female characters in BFV, but his answer to his daughters' question could also have been: "it takes places in 1940 when there were no female soldiers on the battlefield".
Would've been a history lesson for the kid as well.
There are a variety of complaints, but yes one of the complaints I have seen the most is that having female soldiers is apparently the worst thing that could possibly happen to some people.

DICE Design Director said:And I think many people will play the game despite their reservations. And maybe learn something about either history or themselves. That is part of the making games art.
Never believe whatever someone says before "but".I'm 100% fine with female characters in BFV, but his answer to his daughters' question could also have been: "it takes places in 1940 when there were no female soldiers on the battlefield".

well it looks like they're about to learn about a little thing called representation tooso it is a goal of the games. And no, there's nothing "seriously fucking wrong" about getting historical insight from a video game. Battlefield 1, for instance, introduced a lot of people (myself included) to the Harlem Hellfighters.
That's nice. We also have plenty of people projecting their historical insight based purely on shit they've experienced in previous Battlefield/Call of Duty games.Well...

Exactly.Know what bothers me a lot?
I was playing some BF1 last night and while it is a lot of fun, a thought came back to my head again that I haven't had in a while: "This is WW2 reskinned as WW1". All the automatic weapons, the tanks rolling around, fighterplanes buzzing having dogfights in a quick manner and giant bomber planes. This is literally how WW2 works, not WW1. For all the arguments people are using that BF1 is "realistic looking" and "portrays the war correctly" in comparison to BFV, it really does not.
And now I am just even more annoyed at people who try to say that Battlefield has been some "authentic war experience".
I see and understand the position of people who didn't excited for BFV, and it isn't because of women, it because of "fun over authenticity".

There was backlash for the BF1 for those things. The difference is that it was very hard for them to get their hooks in and to hide their racism so it didn't last long.I don't think so - I think based on WW2 media in general. If that perception is proven wrong I don't see them adhering to it - Battlefield 1 had black soldiers, Indian soldiers, female Russian soldiers, and it didn't get the response Battlefield V is getting. Maybe some of that is due to the current political climate, but I don't think all of it is.
That's definitely not what I've seen. Besides the shitty YouTube comments the majority of criticisms I've seen have been have been regarding other aspects of the trailer. It's very clear that the majority of the complaints are from sexist gamers....
Maybe there was none in your book, or maybe there's actually none at all. But are you confident on saying there's no influence of those SJW extremist at all from your perspective?Sorry, i'm not trying to exposs your dog-whistles but can you give some examples of a "SJW pro-like campaign"?

The amazing thing is that even downvoted trailers for huge AAA titles are treated as news items, earning the games in question even more press.
