Death Stranding 2 (DS2) Speculation and Theory Thread [Unmarked DS1 Spoilers]

It seems he just started editing, so maybe it feel a bit too late to make it for Gamescom? I don't exactly know how long it takes to finish the trailer and when they have to submit it to Geoff but I assume it has to a days before the actual event?
Could be for upcoming Sony showcase/SoP too I guess.

Either way, it's nice to see a possible trailer coming soon.

It's too late for a Gamescom trailer. Judging by some DoF heavy images, it looks rather rough cut. There's still final editing, and it has to go through approval processes before it can go out. So I'm banking on a PS Showcase or Tokyo Game Show.

I'm really surprised we haven't seen anything from DS2 since the TGA announcement last year.

I still have a little hope for Gamescom, but I agree that the new trailer is more likely to be shown in a PS Showcase/State of Play. In August of last year, Hideo Kojima said he was editing something and it ended up taking a few months. KojiPro had confirmed that they will only have merchandise at TGS 2023.

Imo it's for some unannounced Playstation showcase. Makes more sense for a first "proper" trailer than Gamescom or TGS imo. DS1 didn't have a big presence at those shows, just like some teaser cutscenes and gameplay stuff.

Cant wait. Im just glad we dont have to wait until TGA
