I'm just thinking that because I've never heard NVidia or anyone else ever say that DLSS or FSR will never work on such-and-such a game specifically because of what engine it's using. It's still up to the devs to implement it, but reconstruction is almost expected these days, and we've seen it used on pretty much every modern engine by now, haven't we?

Oh my bad, I actually agree that DLSS is engine agnostic. I was overly focused on "since it's applied after the image is rendered." That's the part I was actually replying to.

That an almost 6 yo card and CPu can probably still run this on medium-low settings is impressive, IMHO. Do that on a 6yo console. But yeah, if you have current gen console, that's probably the wya to go, unless you're upgrading soon.
Yeah, I'm probably going to pick it up for Xbox. I own all the previous DS games on 360, might as well keep everything together. I am planning on doing a whole new build (didn't mentioned it but I have a 7700k CPU) as my current machine is coming up on 6 years old but I don't know whether I want to jump on Raptor Lake or wait for Meteor if it's coming out this Fall like I've read on Intel's roadmap.

Damn, that's quite high. My old PC, relegated to HTPC duty, is pretty much the minimum and my gaming rig is almost the recommended. Falling slightly short on GFX card with a 6600 XT. 1080p it is.

So I'm guessing I'll be fine on a 2080Ti + 9700K OCd @ 1440p, after a few initial patches iron out the inevitable major problems, I guess

Hope the DLSS implementation won't look like ass tho, I'd love to play with RT on

I remember an article on PC Gamer saying that the remake would be native on Steam, as in: no Origin required. But the small print on Steam says, the EA app needs to be installed potentially...?
