Maybe it's me, but $300 per subscriber seems way too pricey unless the licensing cost is expected to go down significantly.
I think Sony is really trying to be the go to when it comes to anime (a slight monopoly) eventually combining Funimation, Aniplex and Crunchyroll together. The only ones left in the US I think is Viz Media(dubs) and Sentai/Hidive but their streaming service is a joke. Netflix has some good anime selection but it's not their main focus and some of the shows they license are already from Funimation and Crunchyroll. Aniplex stuff has/is currently all being shifted into Funimation's service lately too.
