FINE! I'll watch comics.
I dont read comics, I read graphic novels!
So WB gets James Gunn to do a DC comicbook movie and the best idea they could come up with was doing another Suicide Squad movie lol. Cool. I hope its a good replacement for the first one.
Cant wait for Flashpoint
Start LOST Season 4 or Gunn's Suicide Squad 2: The Suicide Squad?
All I know is this shit better be amazing with the way you're hyping it.

It's just a special chapter for the anniversary.
Wasn't the Kenshin guy revealed to be a piece of shit?Man, how many live action Rurouni Kenshin movies are there! I saw the first one way back when it came out, but now theres like 5.
I dunno, I never really hear about Japanese actor stuff unless its on gaming side.
No no no, the creator of Rurouni Kenshin got arrested a few years back for possession of child porn.I dunno, I never really hear about Japanese actor stuff unless its on gaming side.

oh ok, thats why some of the trailers are called The End / The BeginningThe last two just came out this year - the had the original, then a two-parter for the Kyoto arc years ago, and then just recently they made a couple adaptations of the last arc.
Gonna put it on in a bit. Looking forward to it.The Suicide Squad was better than I was expecting. Great flick, give Gunn whatever he wants DC.
Basically a high budget Troma film. A bit less exploitative, but still felt delightfully Troma tinged. So WB gets James Gunn to do a DC comicbook movie and the best idea they could come up with was doing another Suicide Squad movie lol. Cool. I hope its a good replacement for the first one.

I legit had to check his Wikipedia entry to remind myself what he played in the MCU. It's always sad when a big budget movie lands an awesome actor and doesn't give him anything notable to do. That happens a lot with Elba whether it's Fast and Furious, Star Trek, or the MCU.I think we can all agree that Marvel just wasted Idris Elba in the MCU. It was great to see him shine in The Suicide Squad.
Same lol. I remember him in his Fast & Furious and Pacific Rim roles, though.I legit had to check his Wikipedia entry to remind myself what he played in the MCU.
Pacific Rim is a bit of a guilty pleasure, so that one I remembered.Same lol. I remember him in his Fast & Furious and Pacific Rim roles, though.
I feel like Elba is one of those actors that's way more popular in England because of Luther.Pacific Rim is a bit of a guilty pleasure, so that one I remembered.
I wish that in Fast and Furious they gave him more to do. They hire an awesome actor and basically just have him play a 2-d mustache twirling villain that anyone could do? I don't get it.
Probably true although I think that The Wire was beloved enough that people who have watched it will often identify actors from it with the characters they played on the show.I feel like Elba is one of those actors that's way more popular in England because of Luther.
Wow the Losers is an ooooooold one.
I still have the slipcase with all the hardcovers, which is plenty adequate. I think I'm past the days where I upgrade to a new edition unless it's something exceptional.I was expecting the Locke & Key omnibus to be kinda shit, since IDW doesn't typically do these big hardcovers. but it's actually very nicely put together! spine needed a bit of stretching to really open, but now that it is, it folds out very nicely. nothing fancy -- it still has thin paper, not much in terms of bonus material, but it's got a very nice design in general and I'm very happy with it. think I'll wait to give it a read until October, tho.
There were six. Unless you mean the deluxe editions.
Really?
Yeah, those are the deluxe books, which I think have two of the original trades each. I have the six original hardcovers and the slipcase.
Yeah me too.Yeah, those are the deluxe books, which I think have two of the original trades each. I have the six original hardcovers and the slipcase.
I feel like I'm due for a re-read soon, especially because I've been on a horror comic kick lately.
I feel like Elba is one of those actors that's way more popular in England because of Luther.
Yeah Idris Elba is a well known name here in the UK.I feel like Elba is one of those actors that's way more popular in England because of Luther.
I couldn't get past the first volume because of all of the fanservice elements. But the art was really gorgeous. I may just be a prude. It's like a million years old now, but was the Soul Eater manga any good? I like the art.
Well yeah the cast are like 14 so if it's got fanservice art of them then I really don't want to read it.I couldn't get past the first volume because of all of the fanservice elements. But the art was really gorgeous. I may just be a prude.
I think Elba has a hard time judging what roles are good. He is in so many mediocre films, that I almost think he just reads the concept of the thing and not the script. He is an actor I love to watch, but don't consider his involvement a seal of quality.
At some point I remember the story turning to nonsense. It's like a million years old now, but was the Soul Eater manga any good? I like the art.
That makes it sound like he served time. He got a slap on the wrist and went back to making manga for Jump where they continually publish known pedos like him and Shimabukuro. People can change, but these guys are disgusting and were published as soon as possible following their arrests. No no no, the creator of Rurouni Kenshin got arrested a few years back for possession of child porn.
Why didn't you tell me? What have you been reading?
