Lmao The Unseasoned sounds like a Mass Effect race.
On the other hand, if they make an a brand called Kaepernicks with a silhouette of him kneeling on them, I will buy them.
Is this a both sides problem? I blame Nike and our fellow Blacks so I'm gonna call it even. No one forces people to drop a paycheck on sneakers but I understand why.The irony is that Nike has been exploiting the black community for years getting them to buy shoes that cost them 3 dollars to make in Indonesia for 350 dollars.
That'd be great though I feel like his career would end shortly after because some shithead patriotic opposing player would hit him dirty.Still REALLY hoping a team picks him up. For all of the sacrifices he's been willing to accept, he really just wants to play again. Let that man work.
Honestly it is a question even for people that follow sportsAs someone that doesn't pay attention to sports or shoe companies, can someone catch me up on why this is would "trigger" anyone?
Oh yeah, there would be a bounty on him so fastIs this a both sides problem? I blame Nike and our fellow Blacks so I'm gonna call it even. No one forces people to drop a paycheck on sneakers but I understand why.

No, but Nike isn't suppressing Kaepernick's freedom of speech like the NFL was doing. Kaepernick getting paid is a good thing and this doesn't hurt his message one bit unless you always hated Kaepernick to begin with. Are you serious, bro? Do you honestly believe Nike are gonna host press conferences or print full page ads for Colin to deliver messages against social injustice? What you see today is what you get. This is a money game and Kaep cashed in on his infamy to sell Nike some more T-shirt's and sneakers.
If Kaep does anything that hurts their profits, you better believe they'll put a stop to it.No, but Nike isn't suppressing Kaepernick's freedom of speech like the NFL was doing. He was a millionaire way before this. Also he was rised by a rich (and white) family.White people get real angry about a black man getting money, huh.
For me it's an issue of context. Given this specific situation Kaepernick had to ensure that kinda supersedes the "corporation is profiteering from the struggle" angle to me.
Given that context bitching about Nike is the wrong move. To me at least.
Pretty much this. Nike doesn't give a shit about everything Kaeps fighting for and he probably knows that.Is Nike donating to some of the causes he's championing? I'd care more about that than anything else. Colin's been real smart about transparency on where he donates to, so that'd be way more important to me than just Nike co-opting his statement for some buzz.
I'm amazed at how many people don't get that Kaep was supposed to be turned into a cautionary tale.
Nike making some money doesn't change that they're spitting in the NFL's face.

I imagine this is the real burn for him.https://money.cnn.com/2018/03/27/news/companies/nike-nfl-gear-contract/index.html
Nike extended their deal with the NFL 8 more years this March lol. They're getting money from the NFL supporters and the they'll get it from the Kaep supporters now.
They're not real Americans.
