Does anyone know what happens if you buy a pack for an operator you haven't unlocked?

Like that Mad Chemist bundle, I haven't unlocked the operator that cosmetic is for so does that mean I won't be able to select the style?

I assume it will unlock that operator. Getting those missions for characters with the battlepass unlocks them, at least.

God I've had a lot of fun on ground war today.

Playing it like Battlefield confuses CoD players, they don't expect people to flank them.

Oh and what do you do when your team won't cap a point? Well go and do it yourself obviously.

Same here. Since Season 1 ends in Feb i believe then i think after the next season starts we'll probably see it then hopefully.

Also came across three people this afternoon cheating, they were glitching out the map. Watching the killcam and one was in the walls and the other was under the map.

Probably. Both Fortnite and Apex have it now and IW seems hard pressed to remove it in MW. So the devs must believe the pros outweigh the cons.

SBMM might just be the future of CoD, as the current stategy of ignoring the community's complaints about it doesn't seem to be hurting the game at all. Most have moved on.

for the money they're asking they should also chuck in like 200-300 CoD points too IMHO

Well, got this game as a Christmas present from a loved one and I'm totally confused how this reviewed so well. It's awful.

Single player seems generic as it comes and multiplayer is a spawn camping, roof sniping, tank ledge sitting nightmare.

I'm also getting regular crashes on Xbox (7 crashes to dashboard so far in less than 4 hours)

I'm going to see if I can get a refund or exchange.

People on Reddit are saying there was a steath edit done but I don't think I've seen any confirmation of it in any of the patch notes or anything :-/

I thought it was my controller honestly. But yeah i did notice it was wierd how you can get pushed my teammates.

I decided to give this a try again on my friends Xbox and the first match I played was in Picadilly. What a stupid fucking map lol. All these maps seem trash.

Seeing my friend playing Vacant just reminded all over again of simple maps with three lanes. You either spawn inside. Or you spawn outside. And everybody knows the flow of the map.

CoD revives and killed my interest within the span of a year. Hats off to Activision for nailing TTK with BLOPS4 then immediately pulling the rug from under me with this iteration.

I can only wish the Black Ops reboot(?) takes the gunsmith, graphics and audio but leaves everything to BO4 mechanics. I miss the maps. I miss the specialists.

This gun is still my main loadout when I just need to get shit done, and yeah it's still bullshit. Honestly thought they'd reduce it to garbage by now, pleasantly surprised they haven't.

Gonna pick this game up today but was watching digital foundry video for the MP
The video seems to suggest that for console players the ps4 pro version is the way to go.
Is this still the case or has the one x had some patches to put it ahead

The last five or six games for my team was brutal. We would get into rooms 4v4, spawns were flipping every other death or you would spawn with the enemy, and finally once again hit detection was off.

that "insta kill " ability has been replaced by someone camping around a corner you didn't check.

at least with the abilities in bo4 you had a chance to counter it in some cases

Coming over from Apex so maybe my perception is skewed but man this TTK is fucking wack. I grew up on COD and I really liked where the TTK was in Blackout. In MW there is literally zero chance in surviving being shot from behind or sideways. You have no time to react you're just dead instantly.

Will give this another shot of course but Jesus what an adjustment this is.

No exaggeration. Like 15 of my last 17 matches were me loading into a game with like half of the players on my side already left and down by like 40+ points. To say match making in this game is garbage is an understatement.

There's a stim you can equip at later levels... I think something around level 45. But most of the times you're shot at you're already dead. So I rather equip some kind of grenade instead of the stim.

The last couple of days I really have a good time with MW. Of course there are some matches with campers that suck, but all in all it's much better than the time around the release. But honestly I really miss the longer TTK from BLOPS 4 and I think I'm going to switch between those two. Specialists are way less annoying than campers in dark corners or other spots where you can't see them.

What's the deal with weird animated characters in multiplayer? I play on pro and I noticed some models doing slightly weird animation.

Is that pc players probably playing at a higher frame rate?
Not sure I see the point in cross play other than playing with friends on another platform. I've still not seen a single Xbox player in any lobby.

Just the animation isn't smooth like it's out of sync. If you play gears 5 on pc and a console player joins their character animates at 30fps it looks weird. Similar the gears example.

Yeah cross play is on. It tells you in lobbies what device they're connected from. I only ever see ps and pc.

How can a game that feels so good to shoot with awesome progression have such bad maps and awful matchmaking. I love getting those lobbies where it's 4v6 or 5v6 the ENTIRE match. Some of these maps are fire, and some of these maps are ABSOLUTE worst, wow.

Gotta admit though, they NAILED the gunplay, grenade physics, running etc down pat.

Granted, my impression of MW was pretty short so I need to keep playing but yeah - TTK just seems ridiculous. Main reason I bought the game was for the upcoming Battle Royale which looks dope though so hopefully stim packs will be the fix here. I might fire up Blackout today just for shits and giggles. Haven't played in a long time and now that Apex has SBMM in casual it's just become no fun.

I think you may be confusing Xbox players for PC players? AFAIK a controller and monitor indicates someone playing on Xbox. One time and one time only I saw a controller alongside what looked like a PC tower, so I presume that indicates a PC player.

Also it stands to reasons that PC players in cross play would be pretty rare as I'd expect the vast majority of PC players to stick to KB&M. I would, at least.

I'm at tier 54 so pretty on track to finish this battle pass. Not really worried about the progress for myself, but I can see it being a problem if someone starts mid-way through the season if they don't have more 2x battle pass exp events.
