The known item search of Steam isn't great if you're looking for developers or publsihers. In the search results however you will find the Metro games even if its ordered like you wanted to.
When I first tried the Epic Games Store, I thought I was just being stupid by not being able to find the search bar, but nope, it just didn't have one yet!
It seems that it is just a rudimentary title search.
Not even a publisher/dev search function. (good for devs, wasn't that the motto?)
Additionally, I can't seem to find a publisher/dev listing at all. The only mention of the developer of the game in the store page is a little plain-text at the end of the store page, I had to scroll down 4 pages.

Why is this breaking? Or is it sarcasm? I hope it's the latter. This should be a basic feature available from the offset.
I don't think it's based on a modified unreal engine store. It looks like it was made with Electron, the same framework Discord was built on.
It only took a long time because Sergey is so anti-algorithm that, well, all this time was spent researching how to write queries for a database.

Yeah it was basically a single page of games at launch. It's fun to lol at the Epic Store and all, but it absolutely didn't need a search at launch.
It's a standard feature on almost any website or online store. It's not like they aren't a huge company. That's a bit of a silly standard no matter what the amount of games at launch were.
Steamspy haven't provided epic with data about search habits of steam users, only for purchaces so they didn't think about it.

Wow now that's baffling. Curious when the store will have it's next big update. I love a lot of stuff in steam, fps counter, making screenshots etc. Is all cool stuff that's missing on epics store.
Now they've enabled it, maybe it will actually work in a few more months.

Other stores had years to implement features such as a search bar. How can you expect a new store like Epic to possibly compete in that regard in so little time??
Looks like this is just a feature of the german store page. Search is just busted no matter what you search for.

Both "Metro" and "Exodus" give me the Metro Exodus result for the NA region. Is it possible you have a regional setting where the game isn't currently on the store?
Did you think people were exaggerating when they said the epic games store was a huge step back for consumers, feature wise?
