I think Yoshida only responsible for the main characters in BD, isn't that right?Yoshida was the character artist. He had nothing to do with the background art in BD.
Funnily enough, Ikushima, who replaced Yoshida for BD2, worked on the background art in BD :^)
Yes I am in dire needs of thighs, that's why I'm complaining about the art style............They barely look different from Yoshida's BD characters. Well, with the exception of the missing juicy thighs. Is that why you're frustrated?
BS tooI think Yoshida only responsible for the main characters in BD, isn't that right?

In any case, there is a huge difference from Yoshida's artworks. Dunno how they would look any similar
I'm talking about the character designs and also how they're displayed in-game. They are both disappointing to me and the only thing they have in common is the chibi character style. Other than that, it's markedly worse and hardly similar. I don't see the same amount of cohesiveness than what I've played of Default. Why are you suddenly talking about character illustrations? You were complaining about the in-game visuals looking bad.
And again, the 3D character models barely look different. You even posted a picture of Tiz in the previous page, which further shows it.
Yes I know he done the same for BS, I was more curious about what he done beside the main characters if he worked on other thing in the first place in the series.
AFAIR, he only worked as a main character designer for both titles.Yes I know he done the same for BS, I was more curious about what he done beside the main characters if he worked on other thing in the first place in the series.
Art style and models look great to me. Environments on the other hand...

Thanks.AFAIR, he only worked as a main character designer for both titles.
I think they need to make them more expressive.I feel like with some minor adjustments the models would look far less unappealing
I heavily disagree but I will not go on any further on this. Just that I find it a marked step down in nearly every way that is related to the art style....?
Sorry, I'm really not seeing what you're going for.
In terms of character illustrations, I agree, Yoshida is better than Ikushima. But in terms of the 3D models, the BD 2 models really look like a seamless adaption of the BD1 one's, general style and everything.
Fair enough.I heavily disagree but I will not go on any further on this. Just that I find it a marked step down in nearly every way that is related to the art style.
R2, but I couldn't figure out how to choose new targets.
Some UX things like skill/equipment info being annoying, but your list is pretty much all my complaints. Most of it seems fixable, so I hope they go with it.Made it to the dungeon boss and got schooled, might have to level up a second white mage.
Gonna come back to it later, but so far I really liked the demo. My complaints would be:
Did I miss anything?
- Music stopping abruptly when entering new areas
- Let us check turn order
- Change it so we can choose commands for the whole party at once
- L to default
- Night day cycle is too fast
- Battles take too long to start
- Larger world/dungeon maps
- Enemies can catch up to you too quickly on overworld
The instrumentation choices and the little motif at 0:28 really make think of pre-FF6 Uematsu. It doesn't remind me that much of the original BD's battle theme outside of the guitar in the opening tbh.Other than the opening notes I don't really hear it, sounds to me more like BD's standard battle theme
This game looks incredibly bad. Like spectacularly terrible to look at. Tokyo RPG Factory unironically made something better looking and more inspired with Oninaki, which wasn't a high point to begin with.

Absolutely. The core mechanics are just as good.
Never played any of the games in this series but just played the demo for a couple hours and I'm definitely interested. It's scratching that classic JRPG itch.
Does anyone know if they have said how many job classes are in the game?
Am I the only one finding it a bit tough at first? I mean I'm enjoying it, but a few good hits and you're out.
seems too hard imho
hopefully they will fine tune it for release
I have been wiped out a few but it does say the demo is more difficult. Don't know why they did that though.
FWIW, I completely agree outside of the cities which are remarkably similar, just with a 3D effect now.I heavily disagree but I will not go on any further on this. Just that I find it a marked step down in nearly every way that is related to the art style.
I like itThis is good? You unironically find it spectacular? Like, legitimately on the same pedestal than Bravely Default?
- Characters feel like they take a bit too strongly after the Bravely Default party. Maybe they will become more unique later in the story though.
