I actually like the idea of Demon's Souls 2 more than Bloodborne 2, story-wise, for some reason.
As far as gameplay goes, though, I'd rather get another go at trick weapons. Dark Souls gives me all of my Demon's Souls gameplay needs, except for magic which I still find more fun in Demon's, but nothing stops them from just making it better in Elden Ring or whatever.
I know. But who played it? It was a terrible port. And maybe the argument could be made for MGS:TTS - but that was Gamecube only.
Meaning.....85%? 80%? of people who play games today, in 2019 almost 2020, probably have never played Metal Gear Solid.
EDIT: I did play MGS Intergral on the PC for the record (and it was awful).
No to no item weight. I'd skip it just for that.

Having to box the stuff your not using is dumb, thats why they got rid of it for every other Souls game.
I don't think there's any value in having encumbrance for shit in your inventory that you're not currently equipping.
Unless you really, really want to talk to Stockpile Thomas a lot, I guess.
Carrying everything imaginable is dumb. I'd accept items warping to Thomas though
i like Thomas.
But at that point might as well just get rid of the weight limit and deposit items if you so choose when your at the hub... Like every other Souls game.

Well that about settles that then. Like i said earlier, i assume that job listing implies that it will be cross-gen then. Im ok with that personally. I really do hope its demon's souls now though xD
Yeah, I think Demon Souls would already be fine with a standard remaster like the one for Dark Souls.
Hm, the Bloodborne/Sekiro approach isn't a bad idea at all. It's a good compromise between the item load preventing you from picking up shit and still having a system implemented to "force" new players to talk to Thomas.

Well I hate to break it to you, but jschreier has basically all but confirmed it is indeed Demon's Souls.
honestly I wouldn't even be shocked if BluePoint is already close to done with the game and started brainstorming for their next one

Me too. Don't care for Souls games but they have a bigger audience than The Legend of Dragoon peeps.
One of the big reason why Demon Souls exist is because Miyazaki loved Team Ico's works alot, they inspired him.

Bring back Ape Escape, Socom, and I'd really like a JRPG out of Sony upcoming gen. I don't see why we want Bluepoint to tackle projects like that though, they should continue to do what inspires them, that's the only game I want from BP.

my ideal dream world would be BP finishing up Demon Souls Remake for PS5 Launch, getting purchased (by Sony) before said launch and getting massive backing from Sony to work on a Legend of Dragoon Remake with Japan Studios similar to FF7Remake

Even if everything seems to be pointing at DeS, i think they might have started working on LoD in parallel and will shift to that after DeS is released.
Like, there's no way they won't hit LoD soon or later.
And an AAA JRPG remake by a western studio is such an appealing concept by itself.
The technical director at Bluepoint has openly acknowledged that he wants to make remake LoD, and I don't think he'd do that if that's what they were working on currently
