I'm sure you can find 150 million dollar games that look just as good or a bit better, but Capcom isn't a 30 billion dollar company and yet they are still turning out visuals this damn stunning. Just, wow.

It is the engine/company I think of when it comes to this gen's graphics, I think it's as good as CG films.

It's beautiful and silky smooth. It and Fox engine should be licensed out so we'd see more of those instead of UE and Frostbite garbage.

Fantastic engine. Those visuals at 60 FPS (on some consoles).

As good as Capcom's output with MT Framework was last gen.

It's something about the way characters look on Re engine that's so appealing I don't wanna say they they best of the gen and get ragged on but damn to me I love em

If I had to choose my favorite engine of this console gen, it would be RE. I love the "hyperreal" look of DMC5 and the cinematic look of RE 2 Remake...and all with ~60FPS.
Can`t wait for what Capcom wizards gonna do with this engine next gen.

Just recently finished Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen and I would love to see 2 using that engine for next gen. With DMC V its proven it can be scaled to different games very well.

Honestly, i don't think it looks that good outside of the photorealistic looking characters, and personally i don't even like that kind of art direction anyway.

I love this engine. Seems like everything looks, and runs well on it.

I can't even imagine what they will accomplish with next gen.

Monster hunter no on the re engine right? Wonder if they switch the next one to it
Monster Hunter is made at Capcom Dev 2, while the RE Engine is currently only being utilized by Capcom Dev 1. Likewise, the RE Engine can be rather limiting regarding costumes, which could pose a problem for games with many types of costumes or armor types like Monster Hunter.

After MT Framework, I expect nothing but marvel from capcom.

Capcom is amazing.

Well if M-Two and Neobrads had access to RE Engine for RE3 and Resistance I se no reason for Division 2 to not use it for their games.

Ssr is horrible, when they upgrade it for next gen, rt reflection should be the first thing they replaced with. Also the engine is very weird with the vram management, whenever I change the resolution or even go into the graphic setting in re7 sometime rr2, I have to reboot the game or it runs like a slide show. Looks pretty mostly due to PBR and photogrammetry, everything else isn't out of ordinary but solid engine all around.

Would love to see how Dragon's Dogma and Monster Hunter would look in this engine. Shit, if they ever made a Lost Planet with RE engine it would be fantastic.

I just love how these games look but I also love how fast they can come out too

it doesn't have the ultra ultra detail stuff that something like red dead or naughty dog go for but imo while stuff like that is always good itvery rarely goes noticed in the moment to moment gameplay

If I play the last of us or uncharted 4 and resident evil 2 and while LOU would have a lot more attention to detail if you go looking to me both are just the same level

it's clear capcom have hit that sweetspot of being able to comfortably churn out the games with all the detail that's needed and being just beautiful looking too

4 brand new games for this gen is just an amazing output so well done capcom

It looks fantastic for Resident Evil, i couldn't had imagined a better return for the survival horror series

I wish they played more with the art direction in DMC though, the one inspired by the REngine sucks and goes a bit too far from its gothic roots

The only things I do not like are the image quality/anti aliasing solution and the buggy screen space reflections. I hope they worked on those points for RE3. Otherwise I will have to wait for PS5...

didn't the lead Fox Engine designer got swooped up by Capcom after Konami imploded?

Fox Engine was damn impressive
