We havent see anything of it yet and how it plays. People said the same thing about PUBG with Blackout. Games and BR game can exist next to eachother.
Maybe March is even better because people wanna try something fresh again in the BR scene.

Are they scared of competing with BOPS BR mode or they don't have the thing ready yet?
Haha no. The expansions took freaking ages with BF1
We're getting our first new hero one year after launch! Hurray for live service!
so their battleroyale is coming out in March? Ouch, yeah I'm gonna say it's going to be too little too late by then. Def holding out on my purchase until after I see what it looks like, and hoping they got rid of the bullshit loot boxes
March for BR seems a bit too late.
Blackout will be super polished and populated by then.
Welp i'm out. Not paying £50 for an early access game. have they even confirmed how many maps are in at launch?
Yup, it's pretty clear. And I'm afraid that this way they are going to hurt the game. Instead of launching a complete package they want to spread thin its content.
Yeah I agree. I mean with the battle of Crete your looking at the middle of 1941, which seems a fine starting point for a game. Have some lesser known battles first, then your first major content drop (if they would have launched the game in March) would probably be the Battle of Wake Island/(Pearl Harbor as well?) and the introduction of the Americans and Japanese. That would get people hyped up.
Now you're basically give people a lot of lesser known battles at launch, and the first 3 content drops are going to be more lesser known battles. At the end of the day you're an entertainment product and in terms of content this BF feels very dry which is a shame.
Just give DICE some extra time EA, you have a good franchise with BF and they're just trying to kill it by bad management decisions from the top, purely driven by greed and making sure shareholders are happy.
This is going to be the Titanfall 2 of this year. I have never been this disinterested in a Battlefield game in my life. No BR at launch is the nail in the coffin.
Jup all free. So new maps are playable longer then a week now.Just so I am clear.... all DLC content post launch will be free, correct?
This was my biggest complaint with past BF games, the community gets segregated and it becomes nearly impossible to play new maps on PC because the player base for DLC content just isn't there.

Rush is back? Fuck yeah
I still enjoy BF1 a lot. To be honest I am not digging this new game at all yet. We'll see as it evolves though. This is going to be the Titanfall 2 of this year. I have never been this disinterested in a Battlefield game in my life. No BR at launch is the nail in the coffin.
So it's still only Britain and Germany for the first three chapters?
Theorry you could be DICE PR the way you post about BF in all the threads...
Firestorm is way too late. COD won this round.
Or why not just launch the game in March?
The more I read the more I don't understand why EA is so adamant on getting BF out for christmas while BC showed Battlefield sells in March.
Yeah alot of people will look at something fresh again in the BR scene and try it out.The honeymoon period for BoBo will be done by then when it dawns on players that Activision have already moved onto new CoD. Looking forward to seeing what DICE bring to the table with tactical play, destruction, useful vehicles and class play to the BR genre. Plenty of room for people to innovate.
