Okay that's what I wanted to know thanks. I'll look where I'll preorder then, normally I do Amazon for a physical-collection on PC but I'm not sure if they even offer a physical PC release. BF is one of the few series I do pre-order with due to the beta access and it being huge with my friends anyway.
Well I guess I know what 2042 core map I wont like.
It's hard to judge just based on that tweet because Iwo Jima was both a good and a bad map.
It was good in Breakthrough ( if you ignore the OP planes ), it was bad in conquest. Sadly I only care about conquest.
I'm still thinking it will be PvE teams form at base and are dropped into scenarios. Very Division or Destiny like.
It's map that is designed for one gamemode and rest were forced onto it. CQ is dogshit on that map, there is zero flow to caps.
yeah the caps on the mountain are incredibly disjointed from the rest of the map. I do like the rest of the map though.
Iwo Jima in Breakthrough gave me Omaha Beach flashbacks. Probably the closest BFV ever got to actual spectacle.
Agree to this. It was clearly designed with that in mind, and it excelled. Going over that ridge was a crazy feeling. I hope that's what they are referring to.
I did the same thing, since it was the best deal for PC I saw. And they say they dont send the game code until the game releases. So I asked this same question a few weeks back on here, pertaining to early access for the beta, and the one answer I got back, was no. You wont get anything early access unfortunately.
Edit: That was for CdKeys actually where I bought, not GoG, so could be different.

Hopefully it also means the CQ design has been improved, but their descriptions of the sectors sound fine and not like the Iwo Jima issues.
Having a base makes the Escape from Tarkov-lite theories make even more sense. I'm down if that's the case because I can't get my friends that are getting this to play EFT lol
I play EFT casually and lets be honest, recommending that game to anyone is difficult. Game is so broken.

I actually liked CQ on Iwo Jima. Maybe Conquest Assault would've worked far better for it but I liked it as it was.
True. It just seemed like it was possibly scratching an itch that I didn't know I had. Would love a more polished version, especially if it just happened to come with my favorite FPS
Not worried. Other games like Siege and Cold War have armor systems and they're never that impactful.

Gamescom is extremely likely considering that beta will be during September.
Seems fine since you can equip AP rounds if you need. I can see the class be a go-to for survival, will be interesting to see how they work with the other specialists.
I'd play the shit out of EFT if I wasn't so bad at learning the extracts. Let's hope 2042 gives you any kind of rudimentary ingame map that you can use in that mode
They want it to be casual friendly to have player retention so I'm surprised if there isn't in-game map that shows location in real time.

You know what's disappointing PlayStation have the marketing deal for cod and always get these alpha's just because you're on PlayStation, Xbox has the marketing deal for Battlefield and all we get is trailers😑
They have whole week to show stuff, I wouldn't start sweating over them not being on MS stream.
