Games been out for a year to practically universal acclaim. This design has gotten a spot in both Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Is this something you'd like to see them stick with in future Zeldas, even though you could wear anything or nothing in BotW.
Yes exactly. This is nothing new and this thread is just reaching really. Whenever the next Zelda and smash game come out we'll see Link updated to match that version as well.I mean isn't this what they always do? Whenever a new Smash comes out, it usually features the Link from the most recent entry from the Zelda series.
Green Link is best link. Why not change Mario to Blue if we're all about change?
Thank god they moved away from it. There wasn't a single design worth saving in that game. ALBW Zelda in smash almost made me tear up, she had more expression and personality in one screenshot of the game than a decade of her being in smash.
No, though I don't think it matters anymore as I have fallen out of the Zelda series.
I'm confused as to why he needs a consistent look. The blue tunic can still be optional, the point is for him to still have a NEW consistent iconography. Sure, he can wear a dress in the next game, but you still need a default to put on the box. I'm anticipating that to be the blue tunic.

Give him a new look to suit each game. Green, blue, red, yellow, a suit of armor, whatever. A good design is a good design and he'll still be recognisable as Link.
I'd love this. Let you choose a race to.
Hylian
Goron
Zora
Rito
Gerudo
So is Comader Shepherd. The races in hyrule are to interesting to just leave them as a bunch of NPC's.

The iconography was the same for 30 years. Now he's in blue. There you go.Lol, when did any Link design became "default"?
They are always changing around.
I'd be okay with this. I'm open to more shakeupsNew design for each game with a new Green Tunic being attainable in game is the way forward.
The way BoTW went.
That means that he is in blue in the current iteration, not that it will be the "default" moving forward. The iconography was the same for 30 years. Now he's in blue. There you go.
I think it will be.That means that he is in blue in the current iteration, not that it will be the "default" moving forward.
