Always surprised at the lack of self-awareness from the right loonies. Specially considering the most deplorable shit usually comes from their mouths, the nazi fuckers are on that party and have fox news everyday on air.
The most popular ones on a regular basis pull 50-70k and that's few and far in between. You can consider yourself a huge big name streamer if you regularly pull anywhere 20K viewers. This is essentially the numbers many of the big super popular youtubers pull such as Charlie/critikal and Jacksepticeye.
On the lower end of the spectrum my most regular streamer is still considered the biggest among his community and he only pulls like 2-3K viewers at most but he's playing very specific shit and made it big off much more niche games.
Critikal is super popular now? I'm dangerously close to Skinner levels of out of touch.

Whichever metric you want to go with I guess. There's always bigger fish out there. But he tweeted less than a month or so ago that at least for the month he reached the third most subbed channel on twitch.

I am still in shock that Ilhan has a kid and that she's 17 y/o. I could not believe my ears when AOC was talking about the "mother daughter" team.
I have to be honest, if I were in their shoes there is pretty much no popular Twitch streamer I'd want to play with. They all have histories of drama in some capacity. The right is obviously being dishonest here but I just wouldn't want to make any unforced errors. And the Twitch "community" is largely trash.

Most of the twitch drama and twiitch things are largely not huge outside of the sphere of gaming and even more so outside of Era. Many of these people are trash but when you are talking real famous people or highlevel politicians most twitch people have not done something so bad to matter to something like this AOC stream.
What Hasan said was dumb as fuck but even that is nothing burger and the fact this is all right wingers can find in a record breaking stream of national proportion highlights it perfectly.

Yeah I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree here tbh. As cute and fun as it is, it's kind of a landmine and it'd be smarter for them to make this a one time only deal.
But think about how many people in mainstream politics condemn any sort of video games as a waste of time and energy, something children do to rot their brains. When you consider that video games are already a billion-dollar industry and with their own set of artistic merits, it's likely that either the minority of video game players are a significant voting bloc, or that politicians are in the minority for dismissing video games. And given the radicalizing nature of the internet and the number of right-wing gamergate chuds which exist in the gaming community, it's good actually for good politicians to engage and de-stigmatize and provide a mainstream link for people who play.
I mean I keep getting stuck on whether or not AOC and Ilhan were at work or just chilling during this event. I mean, it's technically office outreach, get out the vote and etc, but aren't the two of them just chilling online and having fun?
