It would have been 1987 the first time I played it. I was at some random arcade.

My local gas station bought a bunch of arcade cabinets in 1991 though, their crown jewel was Street Fighter 2, but they also bought Dig Dug and Sinistar.

Good year for me.

I remember being so blown away by those graphics. Only ever played it in the arcades.

This thread makes me remember an arcade I can't remember the name of in the 80s/early 90s. It was in/outside Houston Texas, and was pretty big with go karts etc. It was huge circle inside, with like 3 different leveled tiers with the circle getting smaller toward the ground floor. The ticket redemption stuff was at the bottom floor.

Maybe some old Houstonian can help me remember what it was called.
