New design in Android messages is rolling out. Looks totally different and also enables a dark mode option.
So it looks like the Pixel 3 (regular) is the way to go if you're looking for a Pixel? Man Google sucks at designing phones. It's like they literally have zero clue what people want in their phone design.Makes no sense. Why would you keep a chin of that size if you're putting a freaking notch at the top?
The whole idea behind the notch is that it's a compromised full-body screen. It's a design choice driven by a technical limitation. Makes no sense having a notch that big if you're keeping the chin so unashamedly

Yes, and a phone that doesn't look like it's dated back to 2011. Heads need to start rolling over there at Google. My 5 year old could draw a better designed phone than the P3XL.
Android sites/tech enthusiasts care, but can you say the same for normal folks? I doubt most people know what stock Android is.
Normal folks can barely buy the Pixel as is. It's not nearly as available as other phones, you have to go directly to Google and even then it's a coin toss whether they even sell it in your country or not.Android sites/tech enthusiasts care, but can you say the same for normal folks? Yes!!https://www.cnet.com/news/oneplus-6t-will-launch-in-october-with-t-mobile-as-us-partner/
Seems like oneplus will be available through tmobile in Oct. No one tell the government
Beautiful. Hopefully they keep their prices in check. I've had the OP6 for a few weeks and already looking forward to upgrading in October, the fuck is wrong with me?https://www.cnet.com/news/oneplus-6t-will-launch-in-october-with-t-mobile-as-us-partner/

Both R17 models will have an in-display fingerprint sensor (triple camera setup is only on the Pro variant).
Easily.Triple A.I. camera for the 6T priced at $550 and we have the year's best phone.
Looking at the size of that phone, is it actually going to be 6.7inch?
Tmobile phones are OK these days my note 8 bloat is just like 2 tmobile apps.
All these US phones are made in China? No real difference, everyone gets your data somehow anyways.I'll grant that the 6T's specs are going to be great but they could plate it in gold for half the price and I wouldn't use a device from a company out of China.
I'm aware and I don't care for it either. Would rather a phone from almost anyone else regardless.Tmobile phones are OK these days my note 8 bloat is just like 2 tmobile apps.

Pretty legit since they have spent a ton of cash on fixing their shitty network. It's not Verizon good in terms of coverage, but it's fine if you live in most cities.

Exploits can be set at the chip lvl, but these days with how much stuff in the west is tied to the big China conglomerates like tencent or alibaba, China government already has all your data one way or another. This is very ignorant. All hardware is made in China. Software is a completely different story.
If you buy a US company's phone you are not giving your data to the Chinese government even though the phones are made there.

Oxygen OS couldn't be good enough to use a Chinese company's phone IMO.Event though I mostly agree with you, OnePlus is WAAAAAY different than the others Chinese companies.
They are very... How can I say it?... Western oriented?
And Oxygen OS is the single best Android software out there. It's better, faster and more feature heavy than Google's stock Android.
Corroborated from pcmag person. He's seeing November though.
If oneplus is bringing that sexy oppo posted above with the fancy notch and triple camera system for $550, along with a good ad campaign, shit can be lit.

October seems too early. I'd guess late November again.
Jade1962 I don't think messages allows you to pin a message. I just looked through the options.

I mean ultimately it's a Chinese company's software. My issue isn't just hardware, it's hardware and software; I can't and won't accept devices from there and it's already bad enough that the assembly happens there as is.Hardware-wise every smartphone on the market is Chinese, in a sense.
What really make them shitty is the software.
With that said, Oxygen is one of - if not THE best Android "interpretation", and is totally worth buying a smartphone for.
