Min Min has not been up in the states. Snagged the mh amiibos. Saved 20 bucks by canceling my amazon japan ones yay...

Got an email this morning from GameStop about them working on my order for 2 of the Skyward Sword Zelda amiibo. I did an in-store ship-to-home order. Kinda hoping I can get it on launch day.
Just checked, the status got updated to "preparing to ship", so maybe tomorrow or so, it'll be sent out.

They only do reprints for Smash Amiibo that don't have a new equivalent coming out. Samus has a Metroid Dread Amiibo version. So they don't want to reprint an old version of a Samus Amiibo.
I wish Nintendo would accept that a lot of people are only buying for the figure itself. I just want Varia Suit Samus. Not even bothered about any potential in-game unlocks.
Even if that was the case, they'd still want to direct people to only buy the new Samus figure, not the old one. So they'd still not do reprints for the older Samus figures.
I don't think that there would be too much of a problem with reprinting older figures. I can't imagine that it would cannibalize sales for the new figure; people who missed the originals will buy them and put money in Nintendo's pocket and not a third party seller who's asking 3x as much AND they'll sell the new figure to die hards like us/people who actually do want the in game bonuses.
In the very least they should reprint the older ones related to the games a few months after release if they're that worried. Poor Smash Luigi was last printed in 2014 but redoing him for Luigi's Mansion 3 would have been killer.
I hope that if Nintendo ever does discontinue doing Amiibos they go the Toy Box route with Disney Infinity and sell the figures as nice little collectibles. The regular toy line usually only has Mario stuff..i don't even know if they still have the "world of Nintendo" figures or if its just strictly Mario stuff now.
I think the alternative if they *don't* want to print figures is doing cards. I thought thats what they were originally planning to do when figures had been out of print for a long time by offering a way for people to still get them (even if its not a physical figure)

Still waiting for them to stock Joker amiibo again. It's been gone since the launch and it's the only one I can't find anywhere for a normal price.

Just got the shipping confirmation email on the Skyward Sword amiibo shipping out from GS. Estimated delivery is....the 26th? Well, that doesn't sound right. Maybe after a day or two, it'll update to something sooner.

I still need to decide if I want to keep the skyloft amiibo or not. I also still have my skyward sword link amiibo sealed. one of only a few I have sealed as I freed most of my amiibo.
Called three stores in my area (GameStop, Target, Best But), NONE of them will be carrying the Loftwing amiibo in store tomorrow. Target said there's not a single one listed for their entire district.
Do we have any idea of whether Ridley will be getting a reprint in Europe (specifically, the UK)? It seems that Dark Samus is already readily available in-stock from the Nintendo UK Online Store, which suggests that stock of that has been good here for a while. I hadn't realised that, so have just ordered.

Yes! Loftwing went up on Best Buy an hour ago and I missed the Wario tweet, but I just got on there and kept refreshing and it went up again and I finally got one, woohoo!
Its fairly likely most of the Zelda ones would be reprinted for BOTW2 but unfortunately it's really hard to say with Nintendo.
To be completely honest, the aftermarket prices are insane *because* many of them are out of print. $45 for just one of those is egregious compared to the original retail price, but I think it'd be difficult to get one for under that at this point honestly.
I'd prioritize getting a loose one over a boxed one unless you're a box collector. They should be cheaper and you'll save on shipping theoretically. Also try checking local game stores as many may have them (for a high price of course but maybe cheaper than ebay prices). I'd keep an eye on Amazon.jp too since many amiibo will end up being cheaper with the price + shipping from there VS ebay.
One of the more popular displays is putting them up on clear plastic risers, there's some on amazon that i think are really nice and not too expensive!
Every damn day I'm getting Loftwing amiibo alerts and that's all fine and dandy. Now when Metroid Dread releases, I fully expect the same type availability for the Dread two-pack ... am I right?

I recently started opening my amiibos so I suppose the sting of bent boards lessens.
Sorry for the necrobump but obviously something happened here and I was wondering if the people moved to discord or somewhere I could go to. I didn't post much but I did enjoy following the thread for news and stuff and would like to continue doing so if possible.
I just think it's lack of Amiibo news, period. The ONLY thing on the horizon right now, are the rest of the Smash DLC chars, and none of those have been announced yet (maybe later today?) The franchise itself has slowed down A LOT, which I sure don't mind because I have other stuff to buy, but there's just nothing else to talk about until more things actually get announced. Not sure what talk could even be made on a Discord either, at the moment.
Surprisingly, they never reprinted the Welcome Amiibo series that was the 50 cards of the "forgotten" characters in RVs.
Since there's no RVs in this game i can kind of see why (and you dont get the furniture) so I'm assuming this Wave 5 of cards would be reprinted Welcome Amiibo (50; maybe without the RVs or something) and 20+ new ones (new outfits for characters/the new villagers) and gives them some wiggle room to toss in some other new characters/villagers or NPC cards.

I was gonna say "can you imagine if they did an amiibo for each of the KH games represented?", but they didn't do that for Dragon Quest, so I have a feeling they won't do it for Sora.
I do wonder if they'll do double packs for Minecraft & Xenoblade 2. Doubt it, but would be nice.
