Photorealistic realism? Is it 2003 again? Because this looks like something from Spy Kids 3D.AMD said:This video is to give you a taste of the photorealistic realism DXR 1.1 will enable
Yeah, perhaps something more tasteful would have better impact, but I guess they show what they wanted to show.
you got a YT link to nvidias demo reel?I liked Nvidia's Star Wars demo much more.
EDIT:
Photorealistic? What year is it? 2003? Because this looks like some Spy Kids 3D stuff.
it looks like it was hurriedly put together. I've seen better.
Indulge me, pretty please? 😄Although I wonder why they did not just show off one of the benchmark titles we have. That would be ultra convincing.
It's almost like they were trying to show off the reflections or something.Man that looked really shitty lol. All those reflections were impressive but that didn't look good at all.
he probably means stuff like Port Royal
They were showing off reflections there (and maybe shadows?) - they could have just shown off BFV or Control. Or heck, the 3d mark DXR benchmark - which is actually a very pretty demo while showing off a lot of rt.
if anything, it shows that if you don't have good art in conjunction with good tech, it don't mean shiti think the whole point of the demo is it looks like everything has an RT surface
And this is the problem with people not understanding the difference between art style and technical achievement.

I mean, I find the tech impressive. Don't confuse my criticisms about the demo with not understanding the tech, but NVidia made a much more attractive demo that showed off reflections as well. I'm just saying that its not a atheistically pleasing demo to watch (and I know Microsoft can do them, like the Xbox One X demo Insects that showed off 4K, HDR, and spatial audio). And this is the problem with people not understanding the difference between art style and technical achievement.
