Execpt he only apologized after losing the oscars, even the oscars said if he had apologized right at the begin he would still host it. But he decided to keep his stance of I did not wrong until it bite him in the ass.I actually buy his argument of not wanting to feed into the negativity of something you feel you've moved on from. Especially when you feel you aren't that person anymore. Him apologizing again, and still deciding to step down as to not make the Oscars about his past mistakes, shows to me he isn't about just saving his own ass.
This happened to James Gunn as well. I personally will take him at his word. Celebrities are priviligied in ways we aren't, so I get people who decide not to forgive, they have every right to. But Kevin seems genuine to me, so I hope he keeps learning.
The "apologizing" he did before it´s in this thread and it´s totally not an apologize.
And now instead of taking the criticism and trying to do better he kept his stance of I grown up but have nothing to show his growth.
While Gunn took the criticism to heart, never tried to fight it and even took his firing without crying on the internet on in any talk shows.
