Dudes who are down bad
I don't know why but this actually doesn't surprise me at all.
Kamiya wrote like a very long article responding to the questions
that's basically what he did for the last question (aspirations for 2021, message to readers), refering to Inaba's answer
We got GoT and Yakuza 7. What a year (for video games, shit for everything else).!Really hope that Ghosts leads to more Japanese game with cool adult casts
I was shocked at no 13 Sentinels, then i realized oh it actually came out last year in japan
I had that feeling about indie games in general, and that's probably for similar reasons.I was gonna say "Not a single mention of Hades?! How in the fuck..." But then I don't think it's actually been localized in Japan yet.
- Capcom Hideaki Itsuno - Ghost of Tsushima
My man, you know what to do.
Considering Itsuno said he's pretty much done with DMC after 5, i don't see the issue.Let someone else handle that shit. I don't wanna wait 11 years for DMC6.

Lol that's cute. Get ready for DMC6 starring Itsuno from the Devil May Cry series.Considering Itsuno said he's pretty much done with DMC after 5, i don't see the issue.
Anyone remembers how well it did in last year's 4Gamer list?I was shocked at no 13 Sentinels, then i realized oh it actually came out last year in japan

Seems like it's hard to understate the splash Tsushima made with the Japanese dev community. Really curious what things will look like in 5 years when every Japanese studio has had a chance to bake all their Tsushima influences into their next project.
Thanks, you're right I don't know what happened but I must of lost some data in the first copy and paste, edited my post with the correct data:Heh, seems like from Western developed games they gravitated towards the ones with best Japanese representation.

Hard to be impressed by an inferior sequel.
Nah. There's already enough of it in the rest of the world regarding TLOU2. I'm glad GoT is getting high praise from Japan :)
Ayy lmaoA fool who keeps complaining under the title of Creative Director" Yoko Taro - Ikaruga
I can't remember the thread, [n/m - found it] but I remember the lead Sega/Yakuza guy have a lot of positive things to say about it. (Thread got derailed into an assessment of how attractive Jin is though).... I also remember from the game's bts commentary that it covers a specific period that even Japanese media hasn't really touched on, so it's no surprising that if a completely foreign studio came along and made a grewat game in period that your own peers haven't really used then it could come across as an unexpected/pleasant surprise to them.
Ghost of Tsushima Highly Praised by Yakuza's Toshihiro Nagoshi on Seganama (Update)
Toshihiro Nagoshi congratulated everyone who worked on Ghost of Tsushima, commenting on various aspects of the PS4 exclusive by Sucker Punch.www.dualshockers.com
Yakuza Director Praises Ghost of Tsushima, Says Japan Should've Made It
Toshihiro Nagoshi, Sega’s executive director of the Yakuza games, has many good things to say about Ghost of Tsushima.kotaku.com
Well for one the gameplay and combat is more fun on average.Too much Ghost. Not enough TLOU2
Japanese devs sure loved Ghost. Curious if they are impressed just because a western dev was able to respectfully represent the culture and history. From a game design standpoint I don't see what would impress them over the other candidates
